Don't be fooled. Majority of these Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox don't read church history or the fathers themselves. They depend on partial quotes fed to them by their favorite online apologist.

It's still amazing to me that the Creator of the Universe would send His perfect Son to die in my place. I lived in open rebellion and cursed God for years for not giving me what I thought I deserved ... all the while not realizing He took the punishment I actually do deserve.

After much prayer, deep study, and an intense personal journey of discernment, I have decided to leave Catholicism and become Protestant. I can no longer remain in submission to a visible Church with apostolic authority, valid sacraments, saints, councils, consistency across centuries, and an actual historical claim to be the Church founded by Christ. Instead, I have been led to the far more reasonable position that Christ left us a Bible, a highlighter, and me. From this day forward, I will be my own final authority on Scripture, history, doctrine, and the meaning of Greek words I looked up 7 minutes ago. I will now reject Sacred Tradition in the name of traditions invented in 1998, deny the authority of the Church that gave me the canon, and confidently explain Christianity through a sermon clip, a study Bible note, and a man on YouTube named Caleb. I have also come to see that the best way to preserve Christian unity is by joining a theological system in which everyone is their own pope, every disagreement creates a new church plant, and "being led by the Spirit" simply means agreeing with my current opinion. I will be launching my own denomination later this afternoon. Our distinctives will include symbolic communion, invisible church membership, a 36 sermon series on Romans, and a firm belief that every Christian in history was wrong until my favorite pastor with a podcast arrived. Please respect my journey during this delicate time.

Pray for the Nigerian Catholic people being massacred. They are increasing aggression against any Christians out of hatred for the atrocities of America. Palm Sunday had one of the larger massacres of nearly 50 dead, including a pregnant mother.

Pope St. Pius X in his encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis which condemns Modernism/Evolution among other things outlines the following about Modernism: Modernism/Modernists teach that no man can do do anything extraordinary but if he does it’s for selfish motives and purposes. John Wayne once said that he would never do a film with Clint Eastwood because he ruined the American Cowboy hero. Modern movies and modern stories no longer have pure heroes presented to the masses because the world is selfish and wants to promote heroes as those who cover their own beehind and protect themselves rather than sacrifice for others- which is at the root of Christ’s way.

Tradition is the non-written word of God, which has been transmitted by word of mouth by Jesus Christ and by the apostles, and which has come down to us through the centuries by the means of the Church, without being altered.

@standev9 @SecretFire79 @5Solas2 I certainly don't deny it but the Church as the body of Christ, He is the head. The pope as vicar leads by the authority of Christ. He is still a man and the last few pope's are certainly not leading the Church in the right direction.
