I've long suspected Salah never truly wanted to leave Liverpool and was only pushing for an exit because of Arne Slot.
Said it to my brother @NotoriousLFC yesterday.
The latest rumours tonight seem to back that up — it would explain the total lack of concrete links to any next club.
His statement yesterday (just two hours before the Alonso-to-Chelsea news) also fits: he probably thought Alonso was coming to Anfield in the summer, giving him a possible reason to stay.
Once that door closed and Slot’s position looked secure, Salah realised his time was definitely up.
What do ye think of my theory 😄

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Brendan Rodgers nearly won the league then Liverpool sold Luis Suarez and replaced him with Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.
Sturridge missed 44 games through injuries, and that deadly SAS partnership that made us so dangerous was gone overnight.
Rodgers was set up to fail.
Arne Slot won the league and then got backed with £450m. Isak, Wirtz, Ekitike and more. He was set up to succeed and failed miserably.
That’s the difference.

@robertmarawa Not only that. Almost the ENTIRE squad liked Salah's post. If this doesn't send a message to FSG, Edwards and Hughes to show their ruthlessness and make the call to sack him, they must be prepared for going into January struggling for a CL spot and a top 8 finish

He's not delaying Parliament, he's exercising rights enshrined in our legal system by reviewing a Section 89 report from before ConCourt's ruling. He didn't invent or strongarm this. It's always been there. You guys are excited for nothing. There will be no impeachment.

A review is one thing. But delaying Parliament from implementing a Concourt order presents entirely new legal obstacles for the president. It also makes the presidency look increasingly desperate to avoid accountability on Phala Phala.
