I want to share this story i just read: I’m 24, earning $52k a year, and I recently moved into the guest room of my 80-year-old grandfather, Arthur, because my $1,900 rent was bleeding me dry. You bought this entire property on a single income while supporting a family!" He set his spoon down. I had never seen his expression turn so cold. "Simple?" His voice was barely a whisper. "I pulled double shifts at the chemical plant for thirty years. When the crisis hit in the late 70s, interest rates were nearly 18%. I didn’t 'order in.' I ate peanut butter on crackers. For months on end." He gestured toward my bedside table. "That watch on your wrist cost more than my first three months of wages. Your 'designer' sneakers cost more than my first kitchen renovation. My hobby?" He pointed to an old, oiled baseball glove on the shelf. "That was my hobby. It cost five dollars and lasted forty years." "So, what? I’m supposed to live in a cave?" I snapped back. "You’re not in a cave," he said. "You’re just undisciplined. You want the life of a homeowner but won't sacrifice the $8 lattes. You want financial peace but pay $30 for fish because you're too 'exhausted' to boil water." He walked over to a locked wooden cabinet, pulled out a worn, leather-bound savings book, and tossed it onto my lap. I opened it. $315,000. This man, who buys generic brand cereal and mends his own socks, had amassed over three hundred thousand dollars from a modest pension and disciplined living. I looked at the balance. Then I looked at my phone, where a notification for a "monthly premium clothing box" had just popped up. I looked at the half-eaten sushi on my plate. Arthur picked up his bowl of cabbage. "You're right, Leo. I did buy this house on one salary." He stopped at the door. "But I didn't have five streaming platforms, a financed car I couldn't afford, or 'convenience' fees on every meal." He looked me dead in the eye. "You don't have a money-making problem. You have a lifestyle problem. You're not broke; you're just paying a high-interest subscription to pretend you're successful." I canceled my premium memberships that night. I made my own lunch for work the next morning. It tasted like a reality check. It's looking increasingly like Ryanair is using bots to reply to this. Their abysmal customer service is called out and they use an army of bots to make it appear that I'm unreasonable.

I have now submitted a complaint to Ryanair. When I finally boarded the flight last night - after paying the £75 "fine" - I received a round of applause from my fellow passengers. However the experience was truly appalling. The fact that a Swissport checkin agent in a Grinch sweater could deliberately cause such mayhem, delay the boarding of the already delayed flight, call for police intervention and require my wife and I to wait right to the end of the boarding process under police supervision, is reprehensible. And, so far, despite over 50,000 views of this post, not a single word of response from Ryanair.

So @Ryanair your agent in Belfast International airport is refusing to allow me to fly to Malaga (without additional charge) with this bag even though I've already paid for it and priority boarding.

I just spent £61 in @NewLook and was told I had to give my email address to get a receipt. That is completely false and totally unlawful. A receipt is a legal requirement when a customer asks for one and it cannot be made conditional on handing over personal data. UK GDPR is very clear that consent has to be freely given and necessary for the service. An email is not needed to print a receipt. What makes this worse is their target demographic is younger people who often do not know their rights. The girls (all of them) behind the till lied straight to my face, then got shitty when I challenged them. When she realised I was a nasty mean old bird, she finally printed mine, and everyone else in the queue suddenly asked for printed receipts too. That tells you everything. Customers do not want this. I will be reporting it, because this kind of data-grabbing is out of control and companies like New Look know exactly what they are doing. It is shocking behaviour.

The Attorney General said she had the client list on her desk. The White House made a big show of giving binders marked “Epstein Files: Phase 1” to a bunch of influencers. Now they tell us that there is no list and we should stop talking about it. Well then why did you say there was a list? Why did you pull that stunt with the influencers? Why did you call it Phase 1 (obviously implying that there were more phases to come)? If you claim that all of this seems normal, above board, and honest, you’re being extremely obtuse. We’re Americans. We don’t accept obvious bullshit from our political leaders. And we don’t move on from a topic just because we’ve been instructed to do so.
