I know this first hand, regarding this erasure. native names & their tribal affiliation was intentionally excluded from catholic baptism & marriage records. SCRIP records refer to a native person as HALF BREED & their Anglicized Name but contains no tribe info or native name.

@CBCIndigenous I would have thought that if you have to do "research" to establish a connection to an Indigenous community, then you already know you don't really have a connection to that community. The whole idea of a "connection" is something you would know directly by .... being connected.

@TheRealYoG Twitter is ruining itself trying to follow the bs IG does-presumably using algorithms. They mostly show you tweets from people you have had recent interactions with -and they show you the same tweets repeatedly. SMDH I want to see tweets from everyone I follow & who follows me.
