@TheReederCo While I wouldn’t want to change your career trajectory, I wish we would’ve gotten the opportunity to work together at Eventbrite.

“Dedicated to their craft” is just code for “they worked harder than everyone else.”

@inkandcopy That’s the case 99% of the time lol. I’ve never described a company I liked as “industry leading”

@stephegger Exactly. Customer quotes can be finessed and industry reports are paid for. So who’s to tell

@TheReederCo Pretty hard to prove. But, you can always hide behind being "industry-leading" in whatever.

Q: How do you figure out which social network(s) your audience/community uses? Pure assumption (e.g. B2B is usually LinkedIn, Twitter is where games crowd hangs, Insta & TikTok are for B2C in fitness/fashion/food, etc, FB for conservative news)? Or do you do actual research?

It’s wild what an hour of deep work to start your day does compared to starting with zoom meetings. We know it’s more productive but the FEEL and tempo is the game changer

When creating thought leadership content, assume your reader doesn’t give a sh*t about your product. 1. Lead with relevant problems 2. Follow with product agnostic solutions 3. Introduce your product Own the problem and they’ll assume you sell the solution.
