@BuckCllr @BritishGas @OctopusEnergy You are also advising people to look into "Rent a Roof" agreements for Solar. That can make properties un-mortgageable. That's left many who were miss-sold these schemes in right messes!

I suspect by your attitude, you’re beyond enlightenment, however, always the eternal optimist, we’ll give it a go.
Speak to @OctopusEnergy they do schemes that help with installing home renewables that you pay back through your monthly bills. Some can be cost neutral, as the energy savings offset the installation payment. Once paid off, reap the rewards!

I have genuine empathy for those currently being affected by the recent oil and gas price rises.
It once again goes to show, just how important renewable energy resources is in securing stable energy prices and supply.
Here’s my roof at 09:30 today. Producing enough free electricity to power everything we need today. Fully insulated (no pun intended) from volatile global political oil and gas. A 100% electric house, using 100% electric cars using 100% of the sunshine to produce energy.
Most will eventually realise that this is the only future of energy.

I can barely afford my energy bills now - Not quite sure how you expect the average Joe to pay more - even if by instalments! I qualify for nothing via any agency.
That return on investment or the "reap the rewards" is a 10 year thing at best!
You've clearly been lucky in being able to get where you are over some time and with some wealth, then speak down to folks that can't!

@TheRewiredPod You have, but you currently pay it out each year to the FF companies for your gas and oil.
You could instead, invest that money in renewables and be cost neutral until fully amortised, then get free energy.
