@jht76225 @RpsAgainstTrump Absolutely not, over 100 fundamental changes. The 1989 Hungarian constitution changes, finalized on October 23, 1989, transformed Hungary from a socialist state into a multi-party parliamentary republic, formally ending communist rule. A comprehensive overhaul of 1949.

Brennan: Viktor Orban seized control of universities rewrote the Constitution, neutered the courts and is trying to control the media. So why would you want to mimic him? JD Vance: On the university principle…I think Orban made smart decisions there that we can learn from in the US. (2024)

For everyone asking about Fleetwood’s pants… yeah, it’s the @lululemon Daydrift pleated trouser. I’ve been wearing them a ton lately just to understand the hype, and honestly, I get it. Light, buttery feel, clean pleats that dress it up a bit, but still moves like straight-up sportswear. Multiple colors, different fits, full-size runs… they’ve got options.

@ShaneRyanHere Pretty accurate! Reed isn't the threat but there's now 7 or so that are. I watched through my fingers the whole time. It's going to be a grandstand finish whatever happens.

My ten thoughts for Saturday: 1. Rory is fortunate not to play with Reed today, got a break with Burns. I bet he doesn't get that break tomorrow. 2. If he figures out how to drive in the fairway, it's game over, probably quickly. 3. If he can't, he'll shoot 71-72 today, someone will shoot 67, and it will be game on. And when leaders get sloppy but hang on for Saturdays after getting fortunate early, it's always bad news on Sunday. 4. If Reed can get into the final group within three shots, I think he'll win by sheer force of will. Rory needs to leave him behind today. When you make it 1-on-1 with Reed you're in trouble. 5. It's weird to say on a Saturday, but it feels like the first 5 holes are important today. Nightmare scenario for Rory is Reed or Rose go -3 through 4, and he's E. 6. Don't see anyone else on the leaderboard with the cojones to win besides those three. 7. I know Rory won a major in a rout years ago, but knowing what we know about him today, I just can't imagine him not making this dramatic somehow, some way. 8. I saw on the Golf Channel that McGinley also thinks this, and the next time he's wrong about competitive psychology in golf will be the first. 9. Based on some of the breaks yesterday that 90th in driving accuracy stat, that -12 on the board feels maybe three shots better than it should be. 10. All of which means the lead feels reallllly tenuous. I'm psyched to watch.

@RpsAgainstTrump "...neutered the courts.." These are just baseless accusations coming from the woke globalists. "rewrote the Constitution" Why is it a problem to rewrite a constitution that was rewritten by the communist in 1948? Why do you want to keep a communist constitution?

‼️BROKEN BRITAIN‼️ Two ex-servicemen outside Mark's & Spencers selling help for heroes badges and collecting money to help homeless veterans were told by M&S management to move from their shop. The reason given the Union Flag on their billboard may offend people!! This must have been unimaginable blow for those vets who fought for this country, under that flag. Absolutely disgusting! Shame, on Mark's & Spencers. MSM SILENCT ‼️

April 2nd 1982: Groups of Royal Marines are now battling Argentine assailants in Stanley itself, who pop up from empty houses and gardens. Here is the famous scene from the battle: "Would you like a cup of tea, boys?" - "Get down, you silly b*tch, there's an invasion on!" 1/2

We are now being advised to change our behaviour in energy use. 1. Don't drive? 2. Don't turn on the light or heating? 3. Turn off the leccy and gas in factories and hospitals? Or maybe: 1. Don't start illegal wars 2. Accelerate the turn to renewables

What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture. We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation. The British people will not put up with this any longer — simple as.

@TheRomanBrown @JackElsom Sure. I was responding to the apparent and unfounded criticism that our PM should be more unilateral. We don’t operate like that and UK MSM should know better than to incite on the basis of it.

Starmer bearing the brunt of the flak in this Trump presser. The President claims that the PM told him in yesterday's call he needed to "meet with my team" before deciding the UK's position re sending ships to Hormuz. Trump ridicules this leadership style, saying Starmer should make the decision himself.

@Gnothi_S @JackElsom The US President is actually more constrained than a UK PM. There are very few boundaries for a PM legally compared to the constitutional ones on POTUS. It's just Trump ignores them entirely. Keirs choice to be collegiate is entirely his own and in mho rational.

@JackElsom Our prime minister is not a president with individual powers the same as POTUS. He’s the leader of a collective Cabinet endorsed (or not) by Parliament. Trump can ridicule it as much as he likes. Your role is responsible journalism.

Sloppy research. She actually works for EDF. But her other revenue streams are: A lot of family money (her mum bought her first house when she was 24). She bought other property and rents that out. She is a County Councillor for Trafford Council (now just resigned so a by-election must be coming). Now, of course, an MP. Do you vote Green - or know what the Green's policies are?

English has lost many strong verbs (ie. sing, sang; break, broke) over the years. Here’s how we would say them if they were still strong: walked -> welk shaped -> shoop laughed -> lough (pron. like ‘enough’) folded -> feld We are actively losing “shone” as well, which is being replaced by “shined” in common conversation. My dialect has completely relegated it as an archaism; if I said something like “the sun shone” I would probably get strange looks. More than I usually do, that is.
