We pulled our oldest out of public school and daycare when she was almost 6. Every single morning dropping her off, I felt this deep, nauseating pit in my stomach. She didn’t belong with strangers. She belonged with us.

@Cernovich Fair critique. My pushback isn’t on the current rules. It’s on a federal government that will eventually cap, tax, or means-test 529s when the wealth gap pressure gets loud enough. The better the rules get for the rich, the more certain that is.

@TheRootedNomad Rich people have too much money in 529's, the rules are only getting better for them. Catch up on how they work before "pushing back" on anything I say.

I believe strongly in 529's, due to tax advantages and flexibility. Also they can be used for a lot more than traditional university. (People criticizing 529's don't even know how they work or the rules on them.) Set kids up to be debt free, but make them work for pocket money.

@Cernovich Share your philosophy n how much to give kids and how early. It's a conundrum

@cboyack An extreme example of skin in the game. But somewhere along the way we normalized outsourcing parenting and education to institutions, and started shaming parents who sense something’s wrong with the setup.

Traditional school works for some kids. I used to think it worked for almost all of them. A year on the road with mine and I’m pretty sure that was always a lie we agreed to believe. They learn from the people we meet, the places we stop, and most of all from being around us all day instead of away from us. I try to picture them in rows under fluorescent lights for seven hours and I’m ashamed I ever thought that was normal.

Five years from now, owning Bitcoin will probably feel more normal than not owning it.

Some kids aren’t built for the constraints of modern school. Fluorescent lights, cream walls, and forty-minute blocks work for a certain kind of learner and quietly fail the rest. The teacher could be brilliant and it still wouldn’t land, because the room was never going to fit that kid.

Many teachers carry knowledge and ideas that could genuinely change students’ lives. But so much of that potential never comes to fruition because many students simply do not care enough to engage with it.

I used to fall asleep to podcasts - Joe Rogan, Tom Segura, Piers Morgan, etc. Recently switched to audio books - classics and non-fiction. Getting through 2 books a week now. What an upgrade.

@LayahHeilpern Or never sell based on cycles, horoscopes, or the mood of mystics. When you try to time it, your life gets consumed by worry. When you hold something you actually understand, it’s reassuring.

People are so emotionally triggered by the fact that I've been bearish for over a year now? Don't understand why. If you just listened and sold the top in 2025 when i announced i was selling you would be in a happier place rn. Anyway I still stand by lower lows coming in 2026. ONLY THEN does the bull run begin!

@The_MMW Agree, but most people don’t understand that the $728k will buy you way less than you think it does in the future.

$10k invested at age 20 will be $728k when you're 65. $10k invested at age 30 will be $281k when you're 65. If you want to get ahead... Spend your 20s buying assets, not cheap thrills.

@karunpal We sold everything a year ago and moved into an RV to travel full-time. Almost every person we love thought we’d lost it. A year into this adventure and our nervous systems have fully reset and we couldn’t be happier.

You are allowed to live a life other people don't understand. A slow quiet life of meaning. A life where your nervous system is not constantly on fire. A life where your mind is clear. A life where you are no longer running away from yourself. A life where mornings are calm. Where you think deeply. A life that slows you down enough to hear your own heart again. A life built intentionally that expands what you already are. Because the older you get, the more you realize: real wealth is not status, attention, or endless stimulation. It’s having a calm mind. A quiet soul. And a life that actually feels like yours.

@Crypto_Mags Add to the list: kids’ shampoos and bath products. Most of the mainstream stuff is full of phthalates, formaldehyde releasers, and synthetic fragrance. Kids absorb more of it per pound than adults do. EWG’s Skin Deep database has been a big help for us.
