My brother built a nifty browser extension that lets you quickly see [and visit] streamers you follow that are live, and he's looking for some beta testers to help test out the app! Reposts appreciated ❤️

It's been a long week off, but managed to get a ton done. Trimmed all the bushes, dug out the old mulch, new weed barrier, new stone, power washed the house, sidewalk and porches, put together all the new furniture and cleaned up the garage a bit. A lot of sweat. Ready for fall!

We upped our thermostat by 4 degrees to try and cut our power usage... and our bill went up by $50 😂
Seems like I'm not alone though. I'm seeing people everywhere talk about their bills being x2 and x3 right now. Insane.

We just got our power bill for the first full month, and this is the first house in many years to have central air. That first bill also included a heat wave or two, and we weren't really sure the best way to set the thermostat...

@Naaackers Which led to our section of the grid prices being quadrupled starting June 1 this year. And if the cost of power to the providers goes up, you best believe the consumers will get all of that increase. Look at the transfer rates on your bills if you are Mid-Atlantic and you'll see

@Naaackers So Detroit metro isn't covered by the grid that my plant feeds into but it still has interconnects to MISO(probably your grid). With the massive loss of coal generation and the blocking of new natural gas or nuclear plants in the last 10 years, the grids are being starved.

Okay...that was so fun. That is some of the most fun I've had assembling for a project. So far everything has went together perfect, and my measurements all worked. It's so solid...
MAYBE one more 45 degree support in the middle for extra overboard, but I'm so happy 😭
