The parents of Alex Pretti say their son quit his hospital job months ago and had shown “unusual behavior” recently. “He seemed to have joined some kind of group. We warned him two weeks ago — protest if you want, but don’t engage, don’t do anything stupid,” his father, Michael Pretti, told reporters. “He said he understood.” But it wasn’t until police pulled messages from Alex’s phone that the truth began to emerge — and what investigators found.
It seems that Pretti's parents didn't want him participating. It seems Pretti allegedly scrubbed his social media presence one day prior to his actions leading to his death. When you make decisions based on emotions, you make poor decisions. He made bad decisions.
I’m a 2A absolutist. You have a right to carry, not a privilege.
But rights come with restrictions, you need your ID & permit on you. Reports say Pretti had neither.
He wasn’t carrying legally.

A woman on an Airbus A320 heard a strange “barking dog” noise coming from the hydraulics and freaked out.
She called her pilot boyfriend, who told her it wasn’t normal, so she panicked, ran to an emergency exit, and tried to open it mid-flight.
Passengers and crew jumped in fast and restrained her as she kept insisting everyone needed to evacuate. People were shouting for her to stop, but she refused to sit down, repeating what her boyfriend said.
Then a knowledgeable passenger explained the truth: that “bark” is the Power Transfer Unit, a totally normal sound on A320s.
No one was hurt, but it’s a scary reminder of how quickly flight anxiety can spiral.

I never understood this. Maybe it was the way I was raised but I clean up after myself when I go to a restaurant and wipe down the table. My now 15 year old son knows this as well and I don't even have to remind him. All the plates stacked, silverware on top. It's common courtesy. Some people are just trash. What are we even doing anymore?
