@JYuter @CraftsmanBob +1 one to this. Just used it to finish another cycle of learning 3 ch. of Mishnah Torah daily. Rabbi Steinsaltz's brings incredible scholarship to the English reading audience should be celebrated (& learned from) it is a bit out of place to claim M.T. in English doesn't exist.

Actually, I think @HollanderAdam and @opensea are doing this correctly. A real business uses customer segmentation, and better rewards should go to the most loyal and valuable customers. It’s also worth noting that retroactive rewards rarely exist outside of Web3, but I understand the expectation based on historical use. Think about the example in the tweet below and play it out: In 2021, there was no OpenSea token (or reward system) in sight. The user simply utilized the platform as a safe and familiar access point to trade, with no expectation of rewards. That user has since stopped using OpenSea and either moved to another platform or stopped trading altogether. Now, let’s translate that to traditional business: Imagine you shopped at Target frequently in 2021, then stopped and became loyal to Walmart. In 2025, Target introduces a new rewards program. Besides the fact that it would almost certainly be forward-looking (even current Target customers likely wouldn’t get retroactive rewards), would the 2021 customer expect to benefit from Target’s 2025 rewards program? I get it - Web3 is different. And OpenSea could use this as an incentive to bring people back. But to the initial point, having customer segmentation is the right starting place. OpenSea is a business, and businesses should operate in a way that works best for all stakeholders, especially their current loyal customers and users.
