This place has changed so much that seeing an account called “food lover” just posting food engagement without a check is baffling to me. I thought for a few minutes and was like okay maybe this guys just loves food? Maybe it’s that simple, like it used to be.

Just to be abundantly clear: It only appears on Replies and it will be used purely for ranking & personalization of that section. The Reply Algorithm is currently is the worst product in the company. There is no logic, no signal, just garbage. Replies could be ordered randomly with crypto spam at the top and it would probably be better than the current system.

Getting really hard to find good Christian instrumental music. Everything I find lately is AI generated and A LOT of them don't even mark their music as being AI which bothers me a whole lot.

Yeah I also looked her up and I think because of her art style, it might be one of those style, generative AI trained most on and/or are best at replicating. I'm gonna hold off personally on making the judgement call, just because I think accusing an artist who drew something painstakingly as using AI is more hurtful and destructive than AI art itself. Because not only is AI art destructive to artists, doing more attacking to the few left behind is just gonna accelerate it way harder than AI art ever could. I'd rather be wrong then accuse an innocent :)

Oh I’ve never heard of her so I had no reason to trust she would use generative AI. But if you don’t think she would I suppose I could be mistaken. Just now, looking at her other work, her style seems to be the type of digital art that the AI tends to mimic most so maybe I just started associating that style with AI in general. Oops. But what made me certain that it was is the face. That type of face and the facial expression is what AI tends to generate. But I don’t want to slander an artist if I happen to be wrong on this.

An ad for an illustration contest with an AI generated image… sure convinces me they really care about art…

My Pharisee moment. Was realizing how I can be judgmental towards those I find judgemental. They too are Christian’s. I can disagree with them, and them with me, but I’m still called to humble myself and realize I’m no better.

I will never understand why Outlook is still the absolute worst HTML render of all email clients. And I will never understand why we allowed it.
