There are no documented monkey-human transmission of rabies EVER recorded in the US. Even outside US monkey-human transmission is extremely rare because monkeys are not primary animal reservoirs of the disease. There is an astronomical small chance a vaccine is beneficial for anything more than peace of mind, and a moderate chance it causes actual harm. But hey why do risk benefit analysis when you can post a meme, and “feel” safer.

@SusieM414141 Want to know what the problem is? Everywhere you turn, you have people bringing their dogs in and saying"it's my support animal" . I'm not saying this isn't legit, but why wouldn't you vest your dog to avoid all of this? People get fatigued by all the "I have something wrong."

This woman has a medical service dog for an ADA-recognized disability. She is in a store where the store director is asking her to leave because he doesn’t like that the dog is not fully vested. They argue back and forth, and she apparently has a medical episode because of it. Does the store have the right to refuse service to anyone, or can she sue over the refusal? I don’t think this needed to escalate the way it did. Part 2 in comments.

Their 18 year old daughter just graduated a few weeks ago. Her parents thought they were being fair for not kicking her out at 18 but they are kicking her out after she graduates. They told her if she wanted to stay, effective June 1st, she would have to start paying them $200 a month plus the costs of her own food. If she wanted the rent with meal plan, it’s $300 a month and she can eat from their fridge. They feel they are teaching her responsibility in a controlled environment. I think the amount they are charging is reasonable and fair, it’s still cheaper than being on her own. Do you think this is too expensive too cheap, or do the just hate their kid?

Sometimes parents think fear creates responsibility, but most of the time it just creates distance. If every conversation a kid hears is “move out at 18 or pay rent,” the message they receive isn’t responsibility, it’s “you’re not really welcome here.” After a while the room becomes the only place that feels peaceful.

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?

He pushed Madison out the door to run. Dad charged with misdemeanor assault by Denton police/DA. Outcome: Assault prosecution dropped. State investigation substantiated some family claims. Houghs joined federal lawsuit (Meier v. UHS, parent company) alleging false imprisonment & rights violations—parts dismissed/settled quietly by ~2019; no major public win reported for them. Democrats killed the bill in Virginia and didn't even give it a hearing. Totally unprecedented move. Every bill used to get a hearing. They broke decades of precedent to defend transing kids against their parents' wishes. This is what the Democratic Party believes in today. These people are insane and dangerous.
