@gordojohnson69 @libsoftiktok No. There are no reports that he stabbed some or that he was wearing an ankle monitor.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok The suspect was wearing an ankle bracelet due to stabbing someone 15 times (and out of course), not to mention assaulted a woman to Jack this car. Prior for illegal firearm.
English

🚨DEMOCRAT DA TRYING TO LOCK UP COP FOR PROTECTING HIMSELF AND OTHER OFFICERS
Suffolk County DA Kevin Hayden (D) charged Boston police officer Nicolas O'Malley with Manslaughter after he reportedly fatally shot a carjacking suspect who IGNORED multiple commands while driving a stolen vehicle towards police.
Stephenson King, the suspect, was previously arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.
Why is this cop being charged for doing his job and protecting fellow officers?!?!
DROP THE CHARGES @SCDAONews

English

You missed this part:
“The use of deadly force to prevent the escape of all felony suspects, whatever the circumstances, is constitutionally unreasonable. It is not better that all felony suspects die than that they escape. Where the suspect poses no immediate threat to the officer and no threat to others, the harm resulting from failing to apprehend him does not justify the use of deadly force to do so. It is no doubt unfortunate when a suspect who is in sight escapes, but the fact that the police arrive a little late or are a little slower afoot does not always justify killing the suspect. A police officer may not seize an unarmed, nondangerous suspect by shooting him dead. The Tennessee statute is unconstitutional insofar as it authorizes the use of deadly force against such fleeing suspects. “
English

Then you didnt read the decision by the US Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court in Graham v. Connor (1989) made that exact point I was making:
“The reasonableness of a particular use of force must be judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 20/20 vision of hindsight… The calculus must embody allowance for the fact that police officers are often forced to make split-second judgments in circumstances that are tense, uncertain, and rapidly evolving.”
English

@AnalytiChaos @fretwell_eddie @libsoftiktok The Supreme Court disagrees. Intent to flee does not justify deadly force.
English

Most officers with whom I have worked from other states would disagree. Any person who ignores lawful orders multiple times and then purposely and erratically drives their vehicle in reverse and hits the police cruiser, the officer can easily consider that as intent and escalation of danger, which is was. No sane person does this, which begs to question the stability of the person. Sort of like armchair quarterbacks who believe that an officer doesnt have the right to shoot a suspect, or should only wound them in the leg or arm, if the suspect is holding only a knife from 20 feet away, yet ignores lawful orders multiple times. He forfeits his right to safety and life. Don't do stupid things to escalate being shot and 99 times out of 100, you wont be.
English

@nicksortor Come on that was one of the biggest dumbass moves ever. She just has enough class to get over it.
English

@libsoftiktok You don’t get subpoenaed if you’re the target of an investigation.
English

@tnpaperdoll @libsoftiktok PpI’m pretty sure they viewed the body warned camera before they made a decision. Now that the cop has been charged, I’m sure the media will request the video.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok Since we aren’t the police officer who was on the scene and were not on the receiving end of a kidnapping suspect backing up into the cruiser mor than once, refusing to exit the vehicle or show his hands and attempting to flee the scene I’m ok with officer protecting himself.
English

The Supreme Court held that deadly force is only permissible if an officer has probable cause to believe the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and it cannot be used to prevent the escape of an unarmed, non-dangerous fleeing felon.
You seem to think deadly force is justified in any police pursuit. It’s not.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok So no danger to public?
Smashing cruiser and flooring it to get away……let’s wait while he speeds away and potentially smashes into a family of 5 killing innocent people.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @LorrieAnn25 @libsoftiktok 🤨 you know they release body camera footage before ppl are charged, don’t you.
Do you recall George Floyd, BLM, the footage was released before any officers were charged. That’s just one example that most ppl should know.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok See Tennessee v Gardner and the Supreme Court ruling on deadly force involving a fleeing felon….
He already committed a felonious crime, posed a danger to the community and fled from officers in a a two ton deadly weapon.
But it’s, Boston, so he’ll get fired and go to jail
English

@Susan4Freedom @libsoftiktok No. Read it again. He was trying to flee.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok Police report tells me the cop was right to shoot. Guy was using his car as a weapon.
English

@Pink_Daisiez @TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok Lol so a woman's not raped unless the rapist is convicted. Even though there was enough evidence to arrest someone just not enough to convict them. And you say "don't deport them, they weren't convicted" lol like seriously lol
English

@fretwell_eddie @AnalytiChaos @libsoftiktok There was no gun and the officers were beside the car and not in anyway in danger of being hit.
A police chase is irrelevant. I’m sure you don’t think cops can shoot at any car involved in a pursuit.
English

@AnalytiChaos @TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok Here's the thing. It says they can shoot at a fleeing vehicle if they think there is an imminent threat. The guy wanted a police chase endangering civilians and he also had a gun
English

@RpsAgainstTrump Sorry but he’s not qualified to manage an organization the size of the DHS.
English

Sen. Fetterman: “In January, I called on the president to fire Noem—and he did.
I truly approached the confirmation of my colleague and friend, Senator Mullin, with an open-mind. We need a leader at DHS. We must reopen DHS.
My AYE is rooted in a strong committed, constructive working relationship with Senator Mullin for our nation’s security”
Republicans against Trump@RpsAgainstTrump
BREAKING: Markwayne Mullin’s nomination for DHS Secretary clears the Senate Homeland Security Committee in an 8–7 vote, heading to the full Senate. Democratic Sen. John Fetterman voted yes. Republican Sen. Rand Paul voted no.
English

@LorrieAnn25 @libsoftiktok He was just arrested today. They weren’t going to release that footage until they were done with their investigation.
English

@TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok That might be believable if they would release the body cam footage. I wonder why they're hiding that?
English

@SpencerHakimian It’s absolutely remarkable how Trump has ruined our economy. First, it was tariffs and now the war.
English

🚨 JUST IN: Sen. @BernieMoreno has proposed the US Senate be HELD IN DC INDEFINITELY until DHS is re-opened
"Let's take our paychecks away! Let's prevent us from flying home!"
"Even that means right through Easter, we DO NOT leave... and we should LOSE PAY every day that goes by until we fund the whole thing."
"Because then, we could work this out!
"Forget DC — let's not even leave this CHAMBER until we get this done!"
English

@FreethinkerInCA @Pink_Daisiez @libsoftiktok You make our point. Thank you.
You want somebody who may be wrongly accused to be deported.
English

@Pink_Daisiez @TheTrueXProphet @libsoftiktok A large portion do not. And the point is you're upset someone who gets arrested of a violent crime can be deported.

English

@FreethinkerInCA @Pink_Daisiez @libsoftiktok An accused is presumed innocent. The prosecution has the burden of proof and must prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
If the jury decides the prosecution did that, then the accused is now convicted. Meaning the person did commit the crime.
English

@FreethinkerInCA @Pink_Daisiez @libsoftiktok Accused: as an adjective, it describes someone facing allegations.
Commit: (transitive) To do(something bad); to perpetrate, as a crime, sin, or fault. to commit murder
An accused person MAY have done something. A person who committed a crime DID something.
See the difference?
English
