@itsPaulAi Tell codex to make sure it's using WSL or it won't work. Needs a unix based system.

There are 5x more Windows users than Mac users
But you can officially control Codex from your phone only if you're using macOS.
Turns out the feature exists but is hidden on the Windows version.
So here's how to activate it to control Codex from your phone:
1. Open Codex Windows and go to the settings
2. Under 'Configuration', click on 'Open config.toml'
3. In the file, add these 2 lines and save it:
[features]
remote_control = true
4. IMPORTANT: now you need to make the config.toml read-only.
- Open its location in Windows (usually C:\Users\[your username]\.codex)
- Right click on it to open the properties
- Check the 'Read-only' box, click apply, and restart Codex.
Now your phone will be able to connect to your Codex Windows!

@SteamFrameOut Using it as a multi-monitor theater for existing games will be the #1 selling point.
Same as the steam deck it'll be a new way to dig into your backlog.

i am so tired of the public view/opinion on vr (no thanks to meta). the perception the average person has on vr is just "there's nothing to play" or "the last good game came out 6 years ago" (referring to hla) when there's SO many really high quality games, especially on pcvr.
while some of it is because some people don't bother doing any research on the current state of vr before speaking about it, it is undeniable that the mass popularity of the cheap, uncomfortable meta headsets like the quest 2 and 3S spoiled the reputation vr has, and it's ridiculous how meta keeps shipping this hardware and its software, knowing that people are gonna have poor experiences with it, and vr in general will probably leave a bad taste in the user's mouth. when people think of modern vr, they think of it being uncomfortable/causing motion sickness, the slop taglike games filled with children, ai horizon worlds bullshit, deranged predators in vrchat.
but vr is so much more than that, and i really hope the steam frame helps people notice it. there's very high quality games in every genre, whether you want:
story games (boneworks, the vertigo duology, behemoth),
arcadey/sandbox games (forefront, beat saber, bonelab),
multiplayer games (vail, pavlov, vmx),
puzzle games (red matter duology, moss duology),
relaxation/exploration games (kayak vr, brink traveler)
the list really goes on, and these are only steamvr games (not even including the great library of quest and psvr2 exclusives). so please, stop with the idea that there's "nothing to do" in vr. and hopefully, the steam frame (a polished, comfortable headset) can bring the amazing pcvr library to more people.
