Lovely roving surgery on Davyhulme Road & the streets off it with Sue Maitland this morning. A number of pieces of casework to follow up. Sue & I forgot to do a selfie so I made friends with this street sign instead. #DavyhulmeRoad @deuxlunas @KarinaCarter19 @Trafford_Labour

Crikey! I’ve had a flashback to my schooldays - some of these desks were almost the full width of the room and you had to shuffle along to your place (after you had filled the inkwell)... #eastend #memorylane

Investors stand in one of the tunnel sections during the construction of the Blackwall Tunnel C1895 - the tunnel runs under the Thames and is 4430ft in length (Oh, that’s 1350m to you modern types!) #Eastend #History #London #tunnel

Did you know? The chains on the suspension bridge are painted every 20 years with 3 coats of paint. The chains haven't always been the colour they are today, this photo is from 1939 when they were red! This fantastic photo is from @KYPWestEngland

The Prospect of Whitby pub, formerly known as The Pelican and later as the Devil’s Tavern, lays claim to be the oldest Thames-side tavern (but all that remains from the building’s earliest period is the 400-year-old stone floor...) #triggersbroom

Corten steel is a low alloy steel that rusts superficially and then no further. Has been around for a long time but has caught on alot in recent years. The Angel of the North is made entirely from Corten steel.

Here is a still of the gate. New arched gate replacing an old corroded and damaged one. Gas closer easy to open but strong enough to close the gate every time.
