Christians are insufferable. If you peruse the posts about MLB pride nights, you will see why gay kids growing up in christian homes end up so fucked up. And you'll also see the mechanisms that allowed those very same "christians" to own slaves and tolerate jim crow. There's a fundamental nastiness to the entire ethos, where they automatically assume positions of supremacy simply based on their own mental illness... which is a perceived proximity to the "king" of man. It's just so fucking gross. This same power dynamic is literally the root of most things toxic: brutality, war, sexual assault, greed. It all ties back to supremacy and submission. The world would be 1000x better without the abrahamic religions. What a sick man-made disease.

@kzbom @dawnydawny123 @anarchojaQ Because the bamboo at best are an annoyance to the company and will not actually stop them. They will just pay to have them killed and removed. At worst the plant breaks away from its planted site and starts killing everything the center hasn't. Thus there is no long term benefit

And because of that, it's grimly amusing to me that so much war has been waged among the Abrahamic faiths when the original leaders of those faiths would probably have sat down to dinner together.

@The_CL0ROX @actingliketommy Ironically, it seems to be Muslims that do Jesus the most justice. They respect him as a prophet alongside the others, but since Jesus is not central to their faith, they have no reason to bastardize and distort his teachings, so their respect is a more authentic one.

I said it was to hilight believing it to be a choice made me hate myself growing up in the church

@The_CL0ROX @actingliketommy So then Paul is even more to blame for the way Christianity is now. If Jesus only came for the Jews, then not only did Paul distort Jesus's message, but he also spearheaded the whole idea of preaching it to those for whom it wasn't intended.
