If I knew that my Department was going to have to relinquish Special Needs Summer Schemes, A) I wouldn't have let it get to that stage & B) I wouldn't have spent the week before in the US with Trump on an unnecessary trip- I would have been busting myself to fix it. Priorities??

Wonderful to call into Dromore Artisan Market in the Courtyard with @dhoneyford! 😃 This market has gone from strength to strength 💪🏻 and it is just wonderful to see! We decamped to Calm Coffee House where they had the most beautiful wee selection of sweet treats 🤩

We had another lovely visitor to our advice clinic! It was brilliant to meet with local Ahmadi Muslim Imam Mustaraf Ahmed, who is working on interfaith understanding and trying to break down barriers. It was a real joy to meet him and hear about his work 🙏🙂

The Assembly Chamber should be a debating chamber, not a baiting chamber. Our role as politicians is to represent the people of Northern Ireland and to deliver real positive change, rather than engage in meaningless knockabout politics.

A 25-mile three-legged walk was the Children in Need challenge facing BBC presenters Cate Conway and Connor Phillips this week. They were due to finish in Newry late this afternoon. Our Community Correspondent Mark Simpson went along to see if they made it.

Impossible to put into words how proud we are of the Bloody Sunday families. For 53 years, they’ve taken on a system that first denied the truth & then tried to run out the clock, desperately hoping that their fight would dim & their campaign would die. Derry’s still with them.

53 years ago, the British army shot dead innocent civilians in Derry. David Cameron, as Prime Minister, apologised for Bloody Sunday — yet shamefully, not one person has been prosecuted. Today’s not guilty verdict for Soldier F isn’t justice; it’s another betrayal of the victims and their families. I’ll always stand with the Bloody Sunday families until justice is delivered. @timmckane Just a typical low testosterone excuse for a man, jealous of your neighbours carrying out work on their property. Bet everything upsets you. Sad.

This was posted on Instagram. Fact: one photo was taken of a car at nighttime. At no time were photos taken of any person. Fact: a hate incident has been logged and builders cationed. There is ongoing legal action regarding trespass. The video I posted speaks for itself. Truth?

@MatthewOToole2 Why when asbestos was present at the site was it not properly removed and disposed of? Kids probably playing in and around that site and yet no one mentioned decontaminating the site. Hope you’re as passionate about its removal. Admit it the bonfire and culture is your gripe.

A dispiriting week but the core point I and my colleagues have made is not about identity or culture. There is a public health risk from the bonfire at the Village. Please don't put yourself at risk to spite us, or to vindicate some big mouth attention seeker.

I've not caught all the details of the bonfire issue but it appears that asbestos is Fenian loving. #Isitreally2025?

@MatthewOToole2 Will you hold the contractors who left the asbestos behind accountable for all costs related to removal or expect the tax payer to cover costs??Surely they would have been responsible for safe disposal??

Making sure that bonfires do not jeopardise public health is not an attack on anyone's culture. I want people to enjoy bonfires, safely. Away from the toxic noise of a few agitators, most people agree with this basic principle. Let's try to have cool heads and leadership.
