@EwanMacKenna @Sjb_1980 @IanGalvinNYGAA It's been explained to you by multiple people now Ewan - no offence but you're just not willing to listen

I defended Celtic penalty during the week but is that not offside? Open to correction as ran in door for last few minutes and just caught it. But how is Maeda not interfering with play given he's the attention of the keeper and half the defence? #hearts

English

@EwanMacKenna @Sjb_1980 @IanGalvinNYGAA Because he doesn't make any attempt to play the ball. Additionally the ball doesn't go anywhere near where he is. You honestly don't understand the laws of the game if you think this is offside - it's not even remotely controversial

@Sjb_1980 @IanGalvinNYGAA How is he not interfering with play?

FIFA actually wrote a letter saying transport prices in the US would have "a chilling effect" on their tournament while tripling the cost of final tickets to $33,000.
You'd yearn for Qatar and Russia (who also have better human rights records).
Sadly this is what not just sport but everything is becoming in our lifetime (including important things like fuel, electricity, heating, food). A luxury for the few rather than a pleasure for the rest. And we moan rather than protest.

The final countdown to the inevitable outcome of having a lunatic in the White House. The ego is so dominant that he would appear to want a world war named after him. This is an unprovoked attack, like Russia on Ukraine, and the US on Venezuela. Yes the Iran regime is dreadful, but to is the current USA.

The first thing United needs to do is sack the guy that openly admitted he interferes when he shouldn't. #WilcoxOut

Fragile because our pathetic and spineless board sacked a manager barely a year into a rebuild they knew would be a long one who the players Genuinely held affection for and most importantly trusted! This is all self inflicted, all of it. The club deserves it.

"You can see the players are fragile. They've got to build themselves up. It's up to them, now." A rallying cry from Darren Fletcher for Manchester Utd players to "dig deep" following an early FA Cup exit. 🎙️ @Sports_EmmaD 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK

Amorim hit the bullseye.
This is not about tactics.
Not about formations.
Not about tweaking details.
Everyone has to live the same principles.
Youth coaches. First team staff. Agents. CEO. DOF. Every glacier water sipping suit in the boardroom. Jim.
The same ideas.
The same standards.
Down to the smallest detail.
Only when the foundation is fully defined and genuinely lived can you start adjusting the dials.
Before that, there are no small problems.
Every bit of criticism becomes a spark.
And in this environment, a spark is enough to start a wildfire.
Everything else is not a rebuild. It's a pattern into selfdestruction.

@AdamMUFC24 @CharZiyanah 'Speculative journalist' is being extremely kind to Jamie Jackson - only Samuel Luckhurst below him in being less credible and more toxic to our club
English

I dont buy into this "wheels are in motion" lark.
Based on one, speculative journalist taking a chance because Ruben wasnt his happy go lucky self in a presser?
Its rubbish, just 2 days ago it was confirmed the board are 100% still behind and backing Ruben.. why all of a sudden today does that change?
English

The wheels are in motion. This ownership are going to sack Amorim at some point and now it’s about skin saving! It’s up to us as fans whether we lap up that BS or not.
Well you know what? I’m not dining there. Amorim has made his mistakes, but none are bigger than what this ownership has failed to do.
THEY brought him in and failed to back him fully. Amorim wanted 3 other WB’s before he was given his cheaper, 4th choice in Dorgu. He wanted Estupinan later but he didn’t get him. He also wanted a keeper which he was given but only after recruiting very late, and by then, Bayindir had cost us points.
But most importantly, Amorim wanted midfielders and didn’t get them. Even if we played a 4-3-3 we needed new midfielders! It was a gaping hole that we could all see and we knew it would cost us points.
We did get some flashy signings in Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko, sure. But we only got Sesko because Wilcox couldn’t get his man, Liam Delap. And thank goodness for that. Attackers were needed but it was never going to solve all of our problems.
The next manager will suffer the same fate unless they start to act quicker and with ambition in transfer windows.

@shfixo @AmorimEra It would be the first time Jamie Jackson has been right about fucking anything 🤣

🚨🎙️ | Ruben Amorim and Jamie Jackson’s extended dialogue in the Leeds United pre-match press conference:
Jackson:
“You’re starting to understand that to play your 3-4-3 you, in essence, need to have a lot of top players, and it sounds like that’s NOT possible.
“Can I ask why you didn’t realise that when you first came into the club, or can you clarify what you meant?”
Amorim:
“I do NOT want to talk about that. I just focus on the Leeds game.”
Jackson:
“That’s interesting, it’s not like you to not want to talk about it.”
Amorim:
“Yeah.”
Jackson:
“Do you regret saying it, maybe?”
Amorim:
“No, no, no. But I do NOT want to talk.”
Jackson:
“I’ll try one more time. Looking at those comments it’s a little bit mystifying why you would say that a year in that you only just realised. Has something changed with regards to the budget, or what you’ve been told? Did Jason Wilcox maybe speak to you?
Amorim:
“I do NOT want to talk about that, but you are very SMART (laughs).”

Celtic.
Have watched with a lot of interest the ongoing drama at Paradise.
Firstly, I played for MON and he ( Robbo, Seamus, Waller) reignited my love of football at Leicester, but I'll not be biased in my opinions on him out of loyalty.
It's a classic case of " this is all too fucking easy " which happens at all dominant clubs because there literally is no or almost no tension to work against.
For the amount of money taken in due to success ( and main historical rivals downfall due to HMRC issues) there should have been even more diligence done to find recruitment and staff who were known to be ruthless. Instead an air of " Ange worked, wild card, so Wilf will too " alongside almost criminally negligent recruitment meant that instead of building another 5 year dynasty, a team that even tonight could have been 5 to the good at half time are now a shadow of themselves.
Solution? Wilf has to go. I say that with a genuine sadness and wouldn't be surprised if he pops us in 5 years successful elsewhere. But Celtic Football Club is about winning then winning with style then a swagger on top. 4 games losing is accepted at almost every club bar a handful and Celtic is one.
So Wilf goes. MON? As a comforting rescue remedy until the end of the season, yes, but not beyond that. Why? Because the club need to find someone for 3-5 years who's going to reassert a winning DNA so any temporary manager is only delaying that absolutely necessary appointment, freshness and internal grabbing the club by the nuts. Martin can start a fire but he's not going to keep it going until he's 76-77.
All great Empires end. Usually down to laziness, decadence, not being accountable and losing the ruthlessness that got that success. The Celtic board are guilty as charged just like Liverpool's early 90's, Man United's last decade.
But....
Clubs of that size can turn around and dominate again very quickly.
Lawwell is a sacrificial lamb aimed to quell dissent, when the reality is there are probably half a dozen in the building from admin to sporting department who need to move on for younger, hungrier and proven ruthless winners.
Martin is capable enough, respected enough ( across all Scottish media) to navigate through choppy waters. But someone higher up has to do the same and set the tone by not rewarding average.
Move players in who aren't good enough today, regardless of status and build again with the next 5 years in mind.
Or muddle through, take zero responsibility on and off the pitch and allow a glimmer of light and hope to other clubs, especially clubs who'll be emboldened by the perceived circus that has overtaken their own.
Wilf gone tonight.
MON steady the ship.
A genuine appointment that raises eyebrows and expectations.
Board level changes, thank yous and goodbyes.
Beloved but no longer good enough players moved on with thanks.
That's what great, big, dominant and ruthless clubs do.

@reptracker its against Celtic calm down dear

𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐧 - 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 ! 🤩
What a first half against Celtic tonight for Roma - two goals, struck the post twice, and looked sharp in every part of his game. That’s the Evan Ferguson we’re used to seeing in an Ireland jersey. There was big pressure on him to deliver… and he delivered in style.
That second goal - Pure class. The touch, the finish - magic.
And just a quick reminder: all those stories floating around about him being sent back to Brighton or decisions already being made about his future? Complete lies. Nothing will be decided until at least early January, so don’t buy into every rumour you see online.
Back the lad! 🇮🇪
