The downfall of Karl Stefanovic needs to be studied, from being lovable larrikin who showed up drunk on air after the Logies, to now pandering to the conservative right wing, halfwits & conspiracy theorists by giving a platform for some of the worst people in this country

THE FACTS: New IMF data shows that under Labor Australia has surged up global rankings for best budget management to have one of the three strongest balances in the G20. This is up from 14th under the Liberals and Nationals in 2021. People are under real pressure as a result of the conflict in the Middle East but thanks to the progress Australians have made together in our economy, we’re well placed and well prepared to confront it.

We recognise that people are still under pressure and petrol prices are still too high, but by halving the fuel excise we can take some of the sting out of prices and help with the cost of living. For more info about Labor's fuel excise cut, visit pm.gov.au/media/fuel-exc…

BREAKING: Australians will no longer pay $1.6bn in card surcharges from October 1. People shouldn’t be punished for using a credit or debit card. That's why the Reserve Bank will today take steps to end credit and debit card surcharging from October 1. This change will make a meaningful difference with Australians no longer paying $1.6 bn a year in surcharges, and small businesses will save $910m.

1 year ago today the Liberals confirmed they‘d vote against Labor’s tax cuts for every taxpayer. Australians would be $50 a week worse off if Angus Taylor had his way on repealing Labor's tax cuts and cost of living relief. Labor is delivering a tax cut this year and another next year, as well cheaper medicines and more bulk billing to help with the cost of living.

We’ve just introduced new legislation into Parliament to help consumers get a fair go at the petrol pump with bigger penalties for false and misleading conduct and cartel behaviour. We’re putting petrol companies on notice. We won’t cop big corporates treating Australian motorists like mugs.

PLEASE EXPLAIN AUSTRALIA? 🤔 Last night, I looked up the Australian autism statistics from @ABSStats! The numbers are SCARY! For example, from 2015 to 2022, the number of Australians identified with autism went up by 77% from 164,000 to 290,100! That is a 126,100 increase in 7 years which 64% are 19 years old or younger! What is happening to our kids??? 🤷‍♂️

BREAKING: we’ve reached a new deal with the states and territories to provide more funding for public hospitals. This combined with our urgent care clinics and Medicare bulk billing incentives will help take pressure off emergency departments in local communities.
