I appreciate that, I understand how the media rights deal works. (The ACC media deal is a conversation in itself) I have been impressed with the mount of coverage ESPN has given to the ACC & Big 12 passed the initial rounds. And, maybe I need to just order the ACC Network. But there is an institutional bias at ESPN that seeks to promote the SEC over the other conferences-they pay the SEC nearly 2.5x's the ACC so I understand them wanting to protect their investment.

Respectfully, this isn’t bias — it’s TV rights. For decades ACC games were on free local TV through Jefferson-Pilot/Raycom, which is why fans across NC could watch the tournament anywhere. That ended when the Atlantic Coast Conference sold its media rights to ESPN and launched the ACC Network in 2019. Those deals now fund hundreds of millions for schools and scholarships. Also, the TV market has changed — roughly half of U.S. households no longer subscribe to traditional cable, with many watching through streaming instead. So it’s not bias. It’s the media rights model the conferences themselves agreed to, and it’s how college athletics is funded today.

I think it's ridiculous that the best college basketball Conference Tournament started today and you can't catch it on TV. @espn has a bias, we all know that, but there's not a better conference tourney than @theACC. So disappointing.
