Would you run hardware on a network that paid out exclusively in stablecoins? Some networks are already going this way, but it's still early. What's your call?

Somewhere right now a self-driving tractor is running a field in the dark. Only reason it knows exactly where it is is because a guy one county over bolted a sensor to his roof and forgot about it. That's distributed infrastructure. A guy, a roof, and a robot that works because of it. The future's being built by people you'll never hear about. That's kind of the whole point.

The OpSec training had us tossing and turning for a few hours later that night. @Audit_wizard broke down ways people get drained, like zero-click attacks from malicious sites, phishing, and dApps asking to sign without context. They also told us how to protect ourselves. ICYMI, clip below. Full broadcast is up on The Relay.
Auditware@audit_wizard

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for the Auditware × @The_Relay_ OpSec live broadcast 🫂 One of the core moves we walked through: browser isolation 🎯 Your wallet and your daily browsing should never share a browser. 🌐 Web attacks jump from a malicious page to your live session and hijack it. Sometimes zero-click. 🚫 What a wallet browser blocks: • Random extensions • dApps asking you to sign without context ⏸️ The friction of switching browsers is intentional. The pause gives you time to review what you're signing.

When the reward's tied to the dirt, the math changes. Justin's current @GEODNET claim is locked to the exact hex his house sits on. It's valuable enough that it factored into whether he sold the place. New use case: convincing homeowners to stay put.
Justin K Marlowe@JustinKMarlowe

My decision to sell one of my properties or not was influenced by the fact that I hold the NFT claim in the hex where it's located. So these solar panels are sort of a way overpowered way to keep my base station connected. 😁 It has certainly been the nearest base station multiple times when I've used the GEO-MEASURE.

I spent $7,500 on a Bitmain Z15 Pro mining machine. It's been mining Zcash for 30 days now. I auto-convert to USDC every day. In that time, I've made $883 in revenue. My cost to operate this machine is $150/month. So far, I'm very happy with my results.

Building infrastructure is hard. Technology keeps making the engineering easier, but coordinating thousands of people to build the same thing at once? That's still a feat. For decades, the only entities capable of pulling it off were governments and big companies, the ones big enough to raise billions and spend years installing everything themselves. Distributed networks solve the coordination problem a different way. The rewards align incentives, so thousands of people buy, run, and maintain a piece of hardware, all adding up to one shared network. Helium for wireless, GEODNET for precision positioning, Wingbits for flight tracking. These networks are cheaper to build, cheaper to run, and grow faster because they're not waiting on one company's board or balance sheet. The old question was "Who has the billions to build this?" The new one is "What happens when everyone can own a piece?"

$285 million gone in 12 minutes. The code wasn't even touched. Back in April, one of Solana's biggest protocols got drained by social engineering. Their admin controls sat behind a multisig: five trusted people, any two of whom could approve a change. It's an uncomfortable truth that we've built code that can withstand attacks but operations that cannot. Operational security is crucial even if you don't control $285 million in user funds. Drift had 5 people guarding the keys and still got got. Your wallet's only got one guard. Make it a good one. Today, 7PM ET.

It's always the human element. Whether it's the Drift hack, a fake support DM, or just a bad link. Tonight, Joe Van Loon from @audit_wizard helps us tighten up OPSEC before it becomes expensive. Live at 7 PM ET. Bring your questions.

All according to plan. From 96 -> 48 -> 24 -> 12, and now 6 $GEOD per day per station. Annual revenue is growing and token buybacks climbing, all amid the backdrop of halving emissions. @GEODNET has stuck to their guns on the model, and it's proving out.
GEODNET@GEODNET

The GEODNET halving is here. From July 1, the max base mining reward drops from 12 to 6 GEOD per day. It happens every June 30 on a fixed schedule, set in our tokenomics from day one. Less new GEOD entering circulation. A network still growing across 150+ countries. This is how we build for the long term.

Most people have no idea this is even possible. That you can plug in a device, connect it to a network, and earn from it. Or use your phone to snap pictures, record your voice, and earn from it. That's really the whole reason The Relay exists: to make this visible to people who'd want it most, if only they knew it was there. Happy Sunday.

America. It all started with regular people who'd rather own a piece of something than sit on the sidelines. Distributed networks run on the same instinct. Infrastructure owned and operated by everyday people. You don't need to be an insider. You just need a device and a place to put it. Happy Independence Day from The Relay.
