This is what we are about to groundbreak at V.I Ozumba Mbadiwe. It’s iconic, and it’s going to be the defining face of VI in the near future. Interestingly the units are being sold cheaply, and great payment plans too! Come and buy before the units sell out! #Reportage #MEHRealty

@inminecraftofc @FROGDOP @JamesWHU__ No Arsenal fan called it a penalty except if it is a reactionary response to the Pablo-Trossard call. And this could easily be justified to be a foul because Saliba wasn’t going to impede the goalkeeper. Pablo was obviously going to impede Raya.

Trossard holding Pablo happens way before the contact on Raya. What are you on about Howard Webb!

The problem with y’all is you selectively decided not to “see” the intent of Pablo. Trossard was on the field, he understood what Pablo’s intention was from the onset of that corner. You could see as soon as the whistle went off for the corner to be taken, Pablo was heading straight for the goalkeeper. That was his goal: impede the goalkeeper. He wasn’t interested in jumping to make contact with the ball. He could have jumped if he wanted to regardless of Trossard holding on to him. He is bigger and younger than Trossard, He is 6ft and Trossard is 5’8. He is 74kg and Trossard is 61kg. So Trossard knew his intentions and he had a job to do: prevent Pablo FROM reaching the goalkeeper. That is what the referee saw. And he said there was nothing there because he had been shown Pablo’s eventual foul against Raya, which was significant. It was a relatively easy decision for him to take. Why didn’t he start with the other fouls first? Because the protest against the goal was on the foul on the keeper who was prevented from doing his job. Pablo wasn’t doing his job, he was simply focused on preventing Raya from doing his job. That is the difference.

We’re lucky the referee did his job properly because the VAR officials are absolutely terrible here - jumping from clip to clip frantically - choosing incorrect angles - the unprofessional huff of the cheeks when they realise there’s a foul

@VaibhavUp21 The problem is they have allowed such types of fouls this season, especially from Arsenal players, and thereby set a precedent. This is now them going against the set precedent. Far too much inconsistent refereeing, which is the real issue.

What this shows is (and it's evident from real-time experience as well) that the VAR and refs already make up their minds regarding certain situations, and they then spend the next 5 minutes justifying them. This itself contradicts their 'clear and obvious error' VAR mandate, as you don't need 5 minutes for clear and obvious errors. The clip begins with "Possible foul on the keeper," and they got so tunnel-visioned into willing it into existence that they disregarded everything else happening in the box. Incompetence rather than corruption, imo.

Mic'd up video of the disallowed goal for West Ham vs Arsenal. VAR literally telling the ref to check fouls by Trossard and Rice before the foul on Raya. The way VAR was huffing like they weren't sure, and when you're not sure, you don't give a foul.

@HammersTalking Pablo is 6.0 ft and 74kg Trossard is 5.8ft and 61kg You would think the little man Trossard would do enough to prevent the big man Pablo from jumping and getting to the ball before Raya. But of course you’re a West Ham fan, so you must have selective memory and bias, so…🤷🏾‍♂️

Rice holding a West Ham player way before the alleged foul on Raya happened! Why didn't VAR go back to that incident?

Law 5.3: When two offences occur simultaneously, the referee penalizes the more serious offence. Holding Raya’s arms inside the six-yard box is a major tactical infringement. Law 10.1: A goal can only stand if the attacking team commits no offence immediately before the ball enters the net. If attackers are impeding or holding the goalkeeper, the goal cannot be awarded. Law 12: Preventing a goalkeeper from moving freely during a corner kick is a direct free kick to the defending side. Verdict: Once the attackers illegally hold the goalkeeper, the goal must be disallowed — regardless of any separate actions involving defenders elsewhere.

@tonyhenryv80978 @Amad16FC So what you are saying is that the rule that states the first foul has to be penalized is wrong? Because as soon as the former was taken Rice grabbed 2 players, that’s a penalty

But he has two other children… so what’s his problem? If not for wickedness. A child you didn’t see for 12 years, who didn’t know you. You want to tell me you have been looking for him for 12 years? Or suddenly you remember you have a child somewhere when you divorced and your ex-wife fought you bitterly for full custody 🙄

Anyone insisting the referee and VAR got that decision wrong only highlights the level of bias they have against Arsenal. Answer these questions first before judging the officials’ decision: 1. Did Trossard’s pull on Pablo directly cause or influence why Pablo fouled Raya? 2. Did Trossard’s pull actually prevent Pablo from doing his job? Now compare that to the impact of Pablo’s foul on Raya. Virtually everyone agrees there was a clear and significant foul on the goalkeeper by the West Ham attacker — one that directly affected Raya’s ability to do his job properly. That incident was far more impactful than any other minor tussle happening in the box, which has already been explained repeatedly. So what exactly is the outrage here if not bitterness toward Arsenal? A little objectivity really wouldn’t hurt.

My guy, we can blame the referees for their inconsistencies. I have always criticised them. The same way Arsenal have suffered, many other teams have suffered. Arteta was smiling at the pressers on Sunday, and on many occasions, he’s been angry due to decisions. Pep was slamming the refs against Newcastle, Rodri even got fined for it, but they smiled when Bernardo got away with the Everton foul that should have been a penalty. The referees are to be blamed for their inconsistencies. On the flip side, we can address issues as they come as fans, we have no say or influence, except talk our shit online. If you agree that there was a foul by Trossard, it won’t change the outcome of the game, because it’s gone, but you owe your conscience that. The audio was released today. It is strange to me that the AVAR wanted the VAR to see that incident, but the VAR was so bothered about Raya. The funny part is that, the person who fouled Raya was the one that was being pulled. I feel like the AVAR should have insisted that the VAR should have another look, but he wasn’t just bothered. Guess what, when the ref came to the screen, they showed an image of Trossard caught up in the middle of Raya and Pablo, that was not what should have been shown. I think they didn’t give the ref the chance to see that, they should have given him the opportunity to see it at least, it’s now up to him to say no penalty. Do you not think so genuinely?
