People hear “on-chain order book” and immediately think “contention!” We need to move past this myth. Scarce resources get allocated by price — if it works for blockspace, why wouldn’t a fee market work for contention? 🤔

Its non-margin credit market creates natural demand through productive loans—not speculation. No other chain can do this.

@The_cryptobear They'll be up in a month. The damage is expensive but not permanent. Completely knocking out export terminals is very hard. Ukr's campaign is about depleting and repositioning Ru ADS. The economic damage is a bonus.

... the world was facing a significant oil production surplus which was on track to hit 4mbpd in 2026. A lot of people forget this. So the world isn't down 20mbpd. It's down 20 - (7 + 1.5 + 4) = 7.5mbpd and that's before accounting for Iranian exports (about 1.5mbpd).

I just want to ask, is there any point in continuing to follow ADA now? Is it still worth our faith? Its technology is extremely slow, its market capitalization has fallen out of the top 15, and its price has been steadily declining. Who would still believe that ADA has a future?

@The_cryptobear @SmaugPool @__fallen_icarus That’s my understanding the liquidity is seeded as intents(beacons) on the mainnet and defi protocols will build on a layer above the universal liquidity pool. It’s not either or but layers of functionality and centralization, with a decentralized p2p base liquidity.

I agree with @IOHK_Charles overall, except for one thing.
Cardano has a USP.
But it will be realized through P2P defi/Defi Kernel.
It’s the only way to enable Cardano to trade non-margin loans (what Tradfi trades) instead of just margin loans (what crypto trades).

Ethereum does not have the answers the UXTO Defi. We should look to Tradfi instead.

But they don’t really understand finance - how it works, why it exists. You can’t replace or improve a system you don’t understand." And the problem is, he’s right.
