✨ Excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and softball journey at the University of Virginia! First and foremost, I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with the ability to pursue this dream. To my family—thank you for supporting me every step of the way through this long journey. Dad, you are the best father in the world—thank you for being there at every practice, game, and workout. Mom, I love you so much—thank you for always being my biggest fan. And to my brother, my rock, Allyn Benthall—I love you more than words. I only started playing this sport because I wanted to follow in your footsteps as such an amazing baseball player. Without you, there is no me. To my many coaches—thank you for the time, commitment, and love you’ve poured into me and my teammates. None of you were paid to coach us, but you did it because you love us and the game, and I’ll forever be grateful. Coach Jeff Goddard, Coach Roger Bennett, Coach Chad Key, and Coach Adam West, thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my IMG sisters. Coach Brad Kramer, Coach Jeff Ruder, and Coach Marty McDonald, thank you for taking a chance on the new girl from Charlotte, NC, when I moved to Kansas City. Coach Jason Felix, thank you for switching me to the left side of the plate—it was one of the best decisions for my game. Coach Mike McCallister and Coach Shaun Cutler, thank you for pushing me early on and helping me believe I could truly compete at a high level. And Coach Laura Hoover, thank you for introducing me to this sport. I’ll never forget the day you picked me up, took me out for ice cream, and convinced me to play. Finally, thank you Coach Jo, Coach T, Coach Caty, Coach Sarah, Coach Dee Dee, Coach Jamie, and Coach Ellis for believing in me and welcoming me to the UVA family.
