Great first half of December after a slow November. Yes, the short infestation and "organic retail buying" are worse than ever, but at least we have some range to trade with again. Stepping back from socials for the past six weeks has been hugely +EV for my trading, mental health, and personal life. I’ll be staying a lot less active going forward. SC trader complaining about cost of locates. Since COVID ended, everyone and their mama is shorting nowadays. Literally 90% of SC traders. Naturally brokers are capitalizing on it as the demand for locates far out paces the availability. I've gotta be like the last true pre COVID long left. Some stats I ran just now from @QuantedTrading (gap criteria $0.30+ and 1M+ pm vol, runner criteria 100%+ open-HOD %, 3M+ vol.) October 1, 2024-March 19, 2025: 368 gaps over 50%, 219 gaps over 75%, 141 gaps over 100%, 258 tickers that hit 100%+ open to HOD. October 1, 2025-Present: 215 gaps over 50%, 118 gaps over 75%, 71 gaps over 100%, 125 tickers that hit 100%+ open to HOD. 40% drop in 50%+ gaps 46% drop in 75%+ gaps 50% drop in 100%+ gaps 52% drop in 100%+ runners In summary: We have seen a 50% decline in both 100% gaps and 100% runners. SC market structure has CHANGED.

In terms of both the number of opportunities and the quality of setups, this is probably the worst market since 2022. Large caps and small caps both feel equally bad.

Decent wins today on $WETO range bound long and shorts. $CHNR opening pop short and rug covers. $SER choppy headache had to recycle out of trouble on it.

In two months 2/3rd of global economy will come to standstill as gas shortages hit emerging and some developed economies. How does this not end in global depression 1932 style i am not sure...i hope there is some surprise positive variable that shows up by miracle.

Whats up with the locate fees with Cobra the last couple days? $LNAI and now $AIM untradeable due to cost. Im seeing 50-60c a share on AIM?? WTF. Same yt with LNAI.
