I need help. We are at a standstill once again, @AvantHomes has ceased all communication in regards to our remediation, including our solicitors, freeholder's solicitors and our local MP. We have reached out to Helen Beardsley @mhclg and not having much luck there either:

Our developer @AvantHomes granted permission for new homes, yet they haven't communicated with us or our solicitors for 4 months now. No sign of fulfilling their obligations to remediate our building. bbc.com/news/articles/…

Almost 2 years now since the initial contact with our developers @AvantHomes and still no sign of any progress. This week we issued our 3rd complaint letter to Ridge Consultancy and also to our MP @AndrewHWestern The developers pledge simply isn't working for us.

@AvantHomes are our developer. 2 years we have been in discussions and negotiations with them, and they delay delay delay, they haven't even committed to do the initial investigation works yet. No light at the end of our tunnel yet @AngelaRayner
Richmond House Residents@RH_residents

No. This is sickening. Leaseholders have gone bankrupt due to building safety costs, with no reprieve. But @AngelaRayner is poised to throw a lifeline to Jeff Fairburn - infamous for his £75m pay packet - to delay Avant's £107m cladding bill. Shocking. thetimes.com/business-money…

Abolish it, not fix it, that's why millions voted Labour, fulfil your promise. I can't afford a formal leasehold extension, because of doubling ground rent my apartment is unsellable.
Lucy Powell MP@LucyMPowell

We inherited a broken leasehold system & we’re determined to fix it. The Government is consulting on major reforms to stop unfair charges, hidden fees & poor service. This is your chance to help shape leasehold reform 👇 consult.communities.gov.uk/leasehold-and-…

This is my building, yesterday was horrendous and extremely worrying for all residents. We still await a light at the end of the tunnel from our developer @AvantHomes I'll update more in due course but I have to say an immense thank you to @manchesterfire
Manchester Cladiators@McrCladiators

This building first had a waking watch in Sept 2020. 4.5+ years later, homes remain unsafe. There's been no *change* since Labour came to power. Warm words with little action mean nothing, @AlexJJNorris @AngelaRayner @Keir_Starmer Please stop playing politics with our lives.

@arthur_mp Why should I need to borrow more and therefore lose any potential profit from when I bought it?

@Thepulseot You could borrow against your mortgage to cover for the lease extension as you are currently employed. And sell the flat immediately.

Just paid my newly doubled ground rent of £500, I'm looking forward to the next doubling to £1000 when I'll be just a couple of years short of retiring, in my apartment that I am unable to sell. Makes me feel sick every year.

@Thepulseot A formal lease extension will grind the ground rent into zero

@Thepulseot Whole block should demand to see a break down of costs & proof that they have doubled.

@Thepulseot The Tories' leasehold reforms let you get out of this (assuming your flat is worth less than £1m) due to the 0.1% ground rent cap that the media wants to pretend never existed.
