🐝 When you move a honey bee hive, they don’t get lost! 🏞️ Bees perform “orientation flights,” circling the hive to memorise new landmarks and recalibrate using the sun as their compass. 🌞 Pro tip: Move the hive at least 3 miles or in small steps to avoid confusion. #Beekeeping

@EliotWilson2 To be honest, I never thought it was all that good at the time, but there was nothing else to do. More extreme still, 3-2-1 got audiences of over 23m, but was completely incomprehensible.

@HHBeekeeping Same here. I have not been able to take of any honey at all yet

I'm currently 90% down on last year's honey. Truth is, my bees are going to cost me money this year without any real return. Normally take my summer crop off 2nd week of August. Probably going to have to extend that this year just to try and break even.

Thicker mix today! Another 300l batch done. Feeding the nucs….Ive never seen a year like it. The worse I’ve seen for making bees. So cold every day! The bees are hardly flying.
