@bbctheview @ChrisHazzardSF Well said @ChrisHazzardSF Clear, consise & to the point. More than can be said for Buckley, who completely buckled.

"The migrant workers in our community who hold up our health service, who hold up our fishing service, who hold up our agri food now tonight living in fear."
@ChrisHazzardSF tells @markcarrurthers this is not about peaceful protests.

@EqualityForNew1 @KellyMatshall And what have you to say about the riots all over the Republic the last few years ehh? You living under a rock….probably.
English

@KellyMatshall That isn’t the New Lodge. It’s Tigers Bay. Stop trying to find your ‘gotcha’ moment you absolute embarrassment. Worry about your own community’s supremacism.

Brilliant!
Brave independent reporter @advancesarah has just ambushed Sly News live on air in Belfast and demanded they start reporting the truth.
They gutlessly cut back to the studio…

The people of Northern Ireland are unique.
Frankly, they may be the only people left in the United Kingdom who still truly understand what it means to be British.
Not as a slogan.
Not as a flag for convenience.
But as an identity forged through loyalty, sacrifice, resilience and history.
That community bond matters.
And to understand just how catastrophically the Government has handled this situation, consider this:
Loyalists, Unionists and Nationalists are coming together.
In Northern Ireland.
That sentence alone should stop every official in Stormont & Whitehall dead in their tracks.
Because when communities with such deep historic divisions find common cause, it tells you something profound.
The public can see what the Government refuses to admit.
This is not a “community tension” problem.
It is a failure of leadership, border control and public safety.

This is Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood.
Shabana has condemned civil disorder at the Henry Nowak protests and promised to punish anyone involved.
Here is Shabana at a pro-Palestine protest which turned violent. The scale of the violence was so intense that a nearby supermarket was forced to close out of fear for their workers’ safety,
If Shabana is going to condemn the Henry Nowak protests and tarnish all protestors with the same “thuggish” brush, she should hold herself to the same standard.
I look forward to seeing Shabana punish herself to the fullest extent of the law, too.

Terrible, depressing & alarming scenes😔💔
Behavior like this, is of course wrong. No ifs, buts or maybes.
It is also true tho that it is predictable and was also preventable.
For years, if not decades, people have politely & democratically asked the ‘powers that be’ to stop foisting high numbers of migrants onto their communities.
They didn’t listen. In fact, they did the exact opposite. We’re reached a point where moving illegal migrants from hotels into people’s streets is almost seen as something to celebrate by many politicians.
They have ignored people’s concerns re immigration & chosen instead to vilify those concerns. They have ignored democratic mandates. They have changed communities. They have put people at risk. They have prioritised minority groups over majorities & they are taking tax from these affected people, many of whom are struggling, in order to fund this stuff.
So - As politicians and those beyond queue up to state how outrageous this behaviour is…I find myself wondering….What on earth did they think was going to happen?
