A second woman of colour has been raped in what police are calling a racially motivated attack, this time in Walsall. It comes just weeks after a similar case in Sandwell. Racially aggravated sexual violence is rising across the West Midlands. This is what happens when racism and misogyny go unchecked.

Between 1982 and August 2025, 84 out of the 155 mass shootings in the US were carried out by white shooters. By comparison, the perpetrator was Black in 26 mass shootings and Latino in 12. As percentages, this amounts to 54%, 17%, and 8%, respectively.

9 years ago today, they had to close down Lime St & divert traffic for a @jeremycorbyn rally in Liverpool. That was the second time he ran for Labour leader. Today, over 600,000 people have signed up to support a new political party. Keep organising.

10 years ago on Saturday. We filled the biggest room they had in the Adelphi & there still wasn’t enough space for all the people that were crying out for something else. 10 years later, over half a million people have signed up to bring about that change we so desperately need.
