Marketing 101: I've had this awesome "features vs benefits" pix from @UserOnboard pinned since 2017. Here's my additional 2cents:

With 3 kids + building an app business, I don't have much time to track all the new podcasts/yt videos from the industry so I wrote myself a daily newsletter that summarizes news + those videos for me so I can decide whether it's worth watching them or not

Bad news for us. Starting from June 16, Apple Ads lifetime budget won't be available through the API. Daily budget will be the only option. Remember that "daily budget" actually limits monthly spend, calculated as (daily budget * 30.4). So if you set your daily budget to a $100/day for a test campaign, it can spend $3040 in 1-2 days and you won't be refunded. Be careful with the bids and targeting.

@Thomasbcn I've heard that they refund overspend over daily budget x 30, but they keep everything under

@zzwitz I guess this particular example wouldnt tank that much, yet it isnt compliant (anymore) Making such a general statement from it is a stretch that lacks nuance....

Signal engineering is the new frontier in mobile UA. Instead of optimizing for Start Trial, you send a custom value event closer to LTV and let Meta/TikTok bid on that. Sounds like a no-brainer. Except it can backfire.

You can dislike the rules, but they’re still there. Unlike the open web, Apple will enforce them Also, some things r just bad for your app & users: confusing checkout flows, hiding cancellation, or trying to get cute around policy. Might look clever short term. Usually it’s not

@seraleev Since when does having ads violate Apple’s rules? 😱 So many apps have ads

While you were sleeping, Apple pulled off a quiet revolution. They silently rolled out automated app review, their answer to the surge of apps driven by the vibe coding trend. Auto-review is the first stage of the review process. Right now it’s rough. The system flags any SDK that collects attribution data as a signal that your app contains ads. Developers are getting hit with auto-rejections left and right. It also automatically detects Firebase anonymous auth as a sign that your app has a login flow and asks you to provide a demo video. The fix is simple though. Just add a note in App Review Information clarifying that your app has no ads and no login feature. Hopefully Apple ships a fix soon and we end up with fast automated reviews for trusted accounts, similar to how Google Play already handles it.

I want ONE engineer at Meta to prove that these suggested budget changes are based in data Doubling a campaign budget from $600 to $1100 in one day is only going to raise my CPA by 13%? Show me aggregate advertiser data that supports these projections and I will go live as a sheep herder in New Zealand forever

With respect to FB ads: Why would you use Standard Attribution instead of Incremental Attribution?

@jayvraavi More than pro/cons, there are specific situations where one or the other makes more sense. All the ayatollah claming one is obviously better fail to see a whole side of the store businesses breadth. Your take clearly narrows you down to some of them, may you have success there

idk why people still choose to build apps natively in 2026 is your animation being 1% faster really more important than free $ you get from being on other platforms?

I just came back home from travel, and my productivity is 10x when I'm at my big wooden desk with my 4k screen and comfortable desk chair. I find it hard to be as productive just on my laptop.
