@davepl1968 ABS rely on wheel rotation, not what direction it rotates, but may disengage in low speeds (5-10 mph) as the risk changes. If very low friction, wheels may lock even with ABS, and wheel spin may help clear threats/obstacles at low speed.

I once slid back down a driveway in my Range Rover, at which point I discovered that ABS does not activate backwards.
I wound up having to modulate the brakes to be able to steer. Don't know if it's universal, but there was no ABS in reverse.

Det mest irriterende folk gjør i en rundkjøring er å blinke INN i den.
Det er ikke noe som heter "til venstre" i en rundkjøring; ALLE SKAL SAMME VEI.
Derfor blinker vi UT av rundkjøringa, og det skal du gjøre når du passerer den siste utkjøringen før der du skal ut.
Der rundkjøringen har 2 kjørebaner skal du ligge innerst, fram til siste utkjøring før der du skal ut. Da blinker du til høyre, legger du der ut i ytre, og blinker UT.

@davepl1968 @DrEricDing No one is relying on US. Norway has the world’s largest seed vault, and paid for construction. Running costs are shared with some of the neighbouring countries. Storing seeds are free.

America’s doomsday seed vault just got defunded by Trump/MUsk. If we ever have an agricultural calamity that wipes out plant life on Earth, it’s the seed vault that will repopulate the Earth and feed humanity after the fallout. This is so stupid.

What’s the story here, and how could this possibly make sense? Firing the scientists who maintain the National Plant Germplasm System jeopardizes 127 years of agricultural genetic preservation. This system safeguards 600,000+ crop varieties that serve as America's agricultural insurance policy against emerging plant diseases and other unforeseen threats to crop production. The NPGS costs 0.000008% of the federal budget while insuring a $1.5 trillion food system. When stem rust threatened global wheat supplies in 1999, these collections provided the resistant genes that prevented widespread crop failure. Similar genetic resources from the bank generate $91+ million annually for the apple industry alone.

@TracketPacer Wild stab in the dark: A yellow cable sometimes means it’s a crossover cable. The «yellow = crossover» is not a standard, but often seen. If this is a crossover cable, and you are using a crossover adapter as well, you are basically canceling out the crossover.

@SteinarStromber @mjolnir1772 @Gr3ve Har ennå ikke opplevd at fiber hjem til oss har hatt fysisk brudd. Etter 5 år har vi vel hatt 3-4 tjenesteutfall som jeg kan huske, hvert på maks 30-45 minutter. Så jeg anskaffer ikke StarLink for å dekke noe som ikke er et opplevd problem.
