@davepl1968 ABS rely on wheel rotation, not what direction it rotates, but may disengage in low speeds (5-10 mph) as the risk changes. If very low friction, wheels may lock even with ABS, and wheel spin may help clear threats/obstacles at low speed.

@marenostbo Veldig nedverdigende, sier Trapp.

@BGatesIsaPyscho For satellites in low Earth orbit, typically 160–2,000 km above the Earth's surface, the orbital velocity is approximately 7.8 kilometers per second (28,000 km/h or about 17,500 mph). They do not all move at the same height or direction, and not all satellites have cameras.

Anyone else ever wonder….if there’s 10,000 Satellites whizzing around, all equipped with multiple cameras, then surely you’d expect to lots of clips of other satellites flying past? But you don’t.

@elonmusk How did you magically flip the light horizontally on the way from the projecting source to the cloud? The logo should be reversed when projected onto the clouds, but it isn’t in this AI generated movie.

THREAD: Here's what a dive bar in Memphis taught me about tariffs, global trade, and domestic manufacturing. (Yes, I'm being serious.) Let's talk about why it's so hard to produce things in America, what it means for our country, and what we can do about it 🧵👇

@DrEricDing It's a good idea that the world should support. But relying on America to do it for them at our cost along isn't fair, so others should share the cost.

@MadsPosting Not sure if this is true, as I left after only 27.5 years. 😂 Love my Thinkpads! Must have tested/used every T Series model since T20, and supported them since the 701 «Butterfly».

@WatchMaga @DrewPavlou Austria was a part of the Austria-Hungarian Empire until 1918. This empire had three official languages, not only German. Hitler left partly because he didn’t want to join the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s multi-ethnic army, which he viewed with disdain due to its diversity.

@DrewPavlou Pedantic. Austria was German-speaking and regarded by German and Austrian nationalists alike as a natural part of greater Germany. The goal of unification has been pursued for a century or more. Regardless; the emphasis was on the “small town” nature of his background.

@davepl1968 @acnewsitics In 2006 the United States and the European Union signed a wine-trade agreement. The United States agreed to not allow new uses of certain terms that were previously considered to be semi-generic such as Champagne as well as Burgundy, Port and Chablis etc.

@acnewsitics It's true the French don't like it if you call sparkling wine Champagne, but what are they going to do about it, surrender?

How many Trump fans realize the U.S. legally CANNOT produce its own Champagne? ‘American Champagne’ isn’t a thing. Your orange messiah just threatened tariffs to ‘boost’ an industry that doesn’t exist. Peak MAGA economics. This guy is a damn idiot.

@TracketPacer Wild stab in the dark: A yellow cable sometimes means it’s a crossover cable. The «yellow = crossover» is not a standard, but often seen. If this is a crossover cable, and you are using a crossover adapter as well, you are basically canceling out the crossover.

Helt utrolig. Bord skipet eller senk svineriet.
