When Ohio enshrined the right to citizen ballot initiative in it's 1912 Constitutional Convention, the "Great Commoner" William Jennings Bryan spoke vociferously for its passage. Listen to his speech🔊. #VoteNoOnIssue1 #VoteNoinAugust

They removed CD/DVD drives from devices. They made physical media harder to buy and use. They removed expandable storage from phones. They pushed us into streaming subscriptions. They made always-online normal. They made unlimited internet necessary. Then slowly raised the price of everything. Ownership quietly became renting.

I used to think Japan had a uniquely stupid left-wing problem. Then I looked overseas. Same people everywhere. They mock their own culture, defend everyone except their own citizens, and call it “progress.” Japan wasn’t alone. The whole world is dealing with them.

Elon spent $1M to make sure the world would never forget Iryna Zarutska and the broken system that failed her The so-called “tolerant” left responded by spray-painting “VANDALIZE THIS” across her innocent face They're so pure evil A beautiful 23-year-old girl was murdered in cold blood by a career criminal who should have been rotting behind bars for life. Instead, rogue Democrat judges let him walk free Now these same degenerates desecrate her memory because they can't stand the truth This is the modern left: they defend predators, coddle monsters, and spit on the memory of the innocent This is who exactly who they really are

Coptic Christians are the indigenous people of Egypt and direct descendants of the Pharaohs, but they are treated as second-class citizens and de facto barred from most jobs. Copts are effectively excluded from the military, government, academia, and any public-sector or leadership roles. They are even excluded from soccer clubs and the national team. So what can they do? One of the few options is garbage collection. Copts are 10% of the population, but 90% of garbage collectors. This is what a real apartheid looks like.

The governor has gone from fraud is the 'cost of doing business' in December, to essentially 'nothing to see here' last week, to new initiatives being added to supposedly 'long-standing efforts' to address Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse this week. That line of argument is incoherent and absurd.
The Daily Signal@DailySignal

Under pressure over rampant Medicaid fraud, @GovMikeDeWine announced new measures—a moratorium on new home health and hospice Medicaid providers, suspended payments to high-risk billers, and GPS tracking for caregivers. But fellow Republicans aren't impressed. DeWine previously vetoed fraud legislation, and his own House Speaker noted those vetoes. "The only thing long in development is persistently ignoring these instances of fraud," said State Rep. @mikedovilla. @RebeccaRoseGold reports: dailysignal.com/2026/05/14/dew…

The thing that gets me about this story is that, as incompetent as the British police now undeniably are, there is no possible way they did not notice that the guy they were putting in handcuffs had been stabbed multiple times. So let that sink in - you can be stood there, visibly bleeding out, and they'll cuff you simply because some random non-white person who just stabbed you accuses you of racism. No proof needed - just the accusation and immediately they'll put the cuffs on your half-dead corpse. It has never been more clear how much the British establishment hates and literally wants its own people dead.
leilani dowding 🌸🚜 ☮️@LeilaniDowding

Our police arrested a man who was stabbed 4 times and bleeding to death instead of helping him and giving him 1st aid! The killer said he was racist so they took the killers word and that trumped helping a dying man.

Reportedly, Republican Ohioans who don't want infinity data centers, foreigners taking our jobs and housing, or a Governor who isn't named in a RICO case, are far-right. This is the messaging they give you, when you're a normal decent American who wants a normal American life.

The fascinating thing about ancient Greece is it did have diversity and this is obscured by the Oddeissey rewrite. There were Athenians, Lacedaemonians, Corinthians, Argives, Thebans, Megarans, Macedonians, Phocians, Locrians, and Ellans. This Hollywood rewrite is culturally appropriating the ancient Greek myth to serve an anti-Western cultural agenda. Nolan isn't "adding diversity" to the Odyssey. He is obscuring the diversity that is already in the story.

Over 10 yrs ago my asthma inhaler went generic and became cheap. But the govt said the propellant was bad for the environment, mandated a new type, and I was back to buying branded for $$$$. Recently that new type went generic as well. Cheap again! Yay! Except now the govt says this propellant is *also* unsafe, and will be banning it, forcing everyone to buy a (patented of course) newer more expensive type yet again. Funny how the timing works that drugs become “unsafe/environmentally bad” juuuust as the pharmaceutical patents run out. Very curious, that.

When butter was demonised, Unilever sold margarine. When tallow was demonised, Procter and Gamble sold Crisco. When eggs were demonised, Kellogg's sold cereal. When red meat was demonised, Cargill sold soy. When raw milk was demonised, Nestle sold infant formula. When leather was demonised, BASF sold PVC. When wool was demonised, ExxonMobil sold polyester feedstock. When animal fat was demonised, the seed-oil industry grew from a niche product to the most consumed food ingredient on earth. Every demonisation of an animal product made a specific group of shareholders very rich. Every one of those products had been eaten by humans for thousands of years without incident. The science changed the moment a substitute existed to sell. Follow the money. The advice will start to make a lot more sense.

Every single American I know with a computer science degree has lost their jobs to an Indian and struggles to find employment. We are failing our people and destroying our culture in the process.

A peer-reviewed paper published last year in the journal Bioethics by two professors at Western Michigan University School of Medicine argues that it is "morally obligatory" to genetically engineer ticks to spread alpha-gal syndrome, a permanent condition that makes you violently allergic to red meat. The paper is called "Beneficial Bloodsucking." Their argument: if eating meat is morally wrong, then preventing the spread of a disease that forces people to stop eating meat is also morally wrong. Scientists should gene-edit lone star ticks to enhance their ability to carry alpha-gal syndrome and expand their range into urban environments to infect more people. They call this a "moral bioenhancer." They frame releasing genetically modified disease-carrying ticks as a "vaccination" that only "infringes" on your bodily autonomy rather than "violating" it. The distinction, apparently, is that a tick bit you instead of a government official holding you down. Alpha-gal syndrome is not mild. The CDC estimates up to 450,000 Americans are already affected. Cases have surged 100-fold in the last decade. Symptoms include anaphylaxis. There is no cure. Alpha-gal cases are exploding across the United States. The lone star tick's range is expanding far beyond its historical territory. And two academics at a medical school published a paper arguing this is a good thing that should be accelerated. At what point do we stop treating papers like this as fringe academic exercises and start asking whether anyone is already acting on them?

Google's update to reCAPTCHA requires a mobile device running iOS or Android, but alternative operating systems like GrapheneOS will not be able to complete verification. Google cites AI agents as the reason for this chance, but it really seems to be an attack on alt OSes.

ORACLE DENIES EMPLOYEES PLEA FOR BETTER SEVERANCE & IS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR WARN ACT VIOLATIONS Over 600 employees signed a letter to management asking for increased severance, extended healthcare, and RSU acceleration. Oracle declined group negotiations. Individual requests were then rejected with cookie-cutter language. Law firms in Washington and Missouri are separately investigating potential WARN Act violations. The core allegation: Oracle classified employees as "remote" -- including people who worked hybrid near Oracle offices to reduce headcounts at individual locations below the WARN Act threshold (which requires 60 days notice for mass layoffs at a single site). Some employees say they had no idea they were classified as remote. At least 491 employees in Washington alone are part of the investigation. The bottom line: Oracle cut 30,000 people to fund an AI pivot, offered below-market severance, refused to accelerate stock people had earned, rejected collective negotiation, and may have gamed remote-work classifications to dodge federal notice requirements. You don't hate these companies enough.
