really hope they make it into the 1st round, excited to see how he responds to teams going at him on defense like they did Reaves. And once he gets gameplanned for, will his offense sustain? We see with Reaves, so far the offense drops off in the playoffs. Rooting for both of them to figure it out and rise above it.

I've joked about this before, but in all seriousness... The best way to: ✅ Eliminate incentives to tank *AND* ✅ Reduce the likelihood of horrible unintended consequences (that are potentially worse than tanking) ....is for GMs to simply vote on which team deserves the #1 pick

For every1 saying the 3 pt line existed in HS & college when MJ was playing… The NCAA didn’t even adopt it until the 1986–87 & HS followed in 1987. So when you look at photos from the 82 Final Four, 83 Regional , 1981 McDonald’s All-American Game… Where is the 3pt line?

4x NBA Champion Horace Grant (speaks on playing with Kobe 🐍 & Shaq ⛽️ during their 2001 title run) “I remember Shaq fouls out… Kobe walks to the bench & says ‘I got this’ This motherf*er (Kobe) went out there & was dunking on David Robinson Tim Duncan like it was NOTHING, he took over the game & we won. I was like ‘that’s some MJ shit’ because of course I seen it with MJ but other than that.. no never. Kobe was that f*king man… he was that beast bruh.”

This is pre-2nd apron thinking. With the 2nd apron, basically a hard cap, small markets can offer max money to all the top free agents just like every other team. It comes down now to player development, scouting, and front offices committed to winning now. How many potentially great careers are you willing to let poorly run franchises derail?

Soul Power! Must read. Common’s dad Lonnie Lynn had quite the roller coaster hoop career from HS glory through minor leagues, backing up S Haywood in Denver, etc. Cameo appearance from Ray Meyer.

042 of 518 … @common “I can talk about that game all day long.” ... Raspy-voiced. Cigarette burning. Empty beer cans nearby … March 7, ’61. Three-o’clock tipoff. Chicago Public League Semi-Finals. This is the story of Lonnie Lynn: punctuationking.substack.com/p/lonnie-lynn

Man, I just want Pau to go on a podcast and FLAME all these former Kobe teammates. He’s one of the main guys who can call them all out. Pau was considered a “soft Euro” when he played for the Grizzlies, and everyone said he wasn’t a winner. He came to the Lakers and they went to the Finals his first year. He got bullied by KG and Perkins in the ’08 Finals. The “soft” narrative continued. That summer, Kobe pushed Pau like he’d never been pushed before: early-morning training, late-night weight-room sessions, endless film sessions. Kobe verbally abused him daily in practice, calling him weak. How did Pau respond? He toughened up and stepped up. One of the greatest Laker playoff runs in ’09, then in ’10. He faced the Celtics again and not only held his own- he was DOMINANT. Kob was training DAWGS. Some stepped up and became champions. Others, 15 years later, went on a podcast and complained about Kobe’s leadership style✌️

Power forward Terry Cummings was a pure bucket getter. 1983 Rookie of the year, all star and MVP candidate by his third season. Excellent mid range shooter, post player, offensive rebounder and transition finisher. Here he is, giving the Trailblazers 35 points and 11 boards:

Kevin Garnett says today’s NBA is more of a ‘event’ than a ‘sport’ “I say this with respect cause today’s game is a lot more faster, more technical, they exhaust dribble little to much. You can get right to it if you want. It’s a bit of an event. It’s not a sport. Sports were on the ground. I’m seeing how they presented it from what it used to be to what it is now…. You got to play with an edge. You got to be in the gym. If your celebrity is in front of your work, then that’s a problem… I don’t know if our players are working at steam engine or peak level. I watch workouts. I hate the walk back to grab It then go. I hate that sh*t. That’s not game speed” (Via youtu.be/Mzwzz4iwmts)

@bcuzifeellikeit Then that is probably a bench warmer on the court and you want to show the coach you deserve more time, giving up on the play definitely won't show him that

Because I Feel Like It (Podcast)
@Thr33ntheKeyPod What if the team is up 30? With 6 minutes to go...This happens at least once in an NBA game every night...That one bucket isn't going to determine an outcome of a game...Its a series of events that determines a game...Not just 1 bucket
