@DeadlineWH time to redefine “deep state” to mean what it really is namely a deep foundation to support the structure that delivers what the people need while minimizing corruption. Eliminating the Deep State does two things. 1) reduces the ability of the government to… more

For Gold Star mother Stephanie Fisher, Trump's Arch is personal. Stephanie buried her son in Arlington National Cemetery, far away from home, because she believes in the sacredness of it. Arlington belongs to the families who laid their children to rest there. When they say that Trump's vanity project will hurt them, we all should listen.

Corporate America has turned its back on democracy and bowed down to Trump. When, in the future, it once agains becomes convenient for them to say they celebrate democracy we should not believe them. In the meantime, we are on our own.

What can we do with $750 billion instead of funding unnecessary wars? Fund high speed rail, cancel out American’s medical debt, finance education programs, and fully fund SNAP. I’m introducing the Slash the Pentagon Act to cap Trump’s bloated Pentagon budget.

ICE has revised its rules to say that detainees who work in custody aren't even required to get $1 per day, after a request from private prison giant Geo Group. Geo Group also asked ICE to remove lines saying contractors needed to follow state and local laws around the treatment of detainees, asked ICE amend language to support its legal position in these cases, and asked that the standards specify that detainees are not employees of the facilities where they work. In addition to removing the dollar per day minimum, ICE's new national standards complied with several of Geo Group's other requests, for instance the document now says detainees are not employees “and are not entitled to wages or benefits under applicable wage laws or labor regulations.” washingtonpost.com/business/2026/…

Aaron Tucker had been out of prison for seven days. He had less than $2 in his pocket and one shot at turning his life around, a job interview that morning. Then he saw a car flip over and catch fire from his bus window. He asked the bus driver if he was going to help. "No, but if you get out I'm going to leave," the driver replied. Tucker got out anyway. He sprinted toward the upside-down, smoke-filled car and found the 61-year-old driver covered in blood. He unbuckled the man's seatbelt and dragged him clear as the car started to catch fire. He pulled off his own dress shirt and used it to stop the man's head wound from bleeding, telling him: "You're going to be all right. Your family wants to see you. Keep your eyes open." The bus left. Tucker missed his interview. When the story got out, strangers set up a GoFundMe that raised over $50,000 in three days. He also received multiple job offers in construction. "I feel like a job can come and go, but a life is a one-time thing," Tucker said. "The job just wasn't in my mind at that time."

Sen. @MarkWarner: What we're witnessing today is an extraordinary display of dysfunction from Trump who decided to install an individual as acting DNI that does not meet even the basic tenets of the law. You've got to have national security background. Bill Pulte doesn't even have a security clearance.

Met President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Evian. In recent times, India and Ukraine have been engaging extensively. This has been reflected in different areas of our cooperation. Our talks today were about reviewing different aspects of our cooperation. We both agree that trade ties need to be restored to what they were in the pre-war time. Also reiterated that India will always be on the side of peace, placing the values of humanity over everything else. @ZelenskyyUa @G7

🇺🇸 Trump on 23 March 2026: "I started the war for regime change in Iran. We won. We wiped out their whole regime." 🇺🇸 Trump on 16 June 2026: "I don’t believe in regime change. Never works."🤣 This man is a habitual liar.

The net result of a war that cost $60 billion, killed 13 Americans and thousands Iranian civilians, set off a new war between Israel and Lebanon, and caused massive U.S. inflation: America agrees to give Iran billions in exchange for nothing. A disastrous humiliation.

ICE put a vulnerable asylum seeker out into the cold. She sat at a bus stop for days. Now her death is ruled a homicide. A government powerful enough to detain someone is powerful enough to keep them alive. This wasn’t bureaucracy. It was abandonment with a body count. I believe ICE is a criminal organization. 100%.

An 8-year-old boy noticed what every adult in the restaurant missed — and it changed a family's life forever. Every weekend, Kayzen Hunter and his family walked into their local Waffle House in Little Rock, Arkansas, and headed straight for the same section. Not because of the booth. Not because of the location. Because of Devonte. Devonte Gardner was the waiter who welcomed Kayzen with a high five every single visit. He already knew the boy's favorite order by heart — scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns covered in cheese, no toast, and an Arnold Palmer. He always had a joke ready and a smile that could brighten an entire room. For nearly a year, the Hunter family sat in Devonte's section every weekend. Over time, they learned about his wife, Aissa, and his two young daughters, Jade and Amoura. They saw a hardworking man who genuinely enjoyed making people feel at home. What they didn't see was the struggle waiting for him after work. The apartment where his family lived had become overrun with black mold and rats. His daughters were getting sick, and the situation became impossible to ignore. Forced to leave, the family abandoned most of their belongings because the mold had ruined nearly everything. Their only option was a motel room costing sixty dollars a night. Every tip Devonte earned went toward keeping a roof over their heads. The money he had saved for a car disappeared into emergency expenses. Soon, he was walking miles to and from work. Yet every day he showed up with the same positive attitude, never letting customers know how difficult life had become. Then one afternoon, Kayzen visited the restaurant with his grandfather. During their conversation, Devonte mentioned he was searching for an affordable car. Curious, Kayzen asked questions. The more he learned, the more concerned he became. By the time he got home, he couldn't stop thinking about it. He told his mother they had to help. Kayzen insisted on starting a fundraiser. With his mom's help, a GoFundMe page was created with a goal of just five hundred dollars. In the description, Kayzen wrote that Devonte was one of the kindest people he had ever met and that he hoped others would help spread kindness too. At first, donations arrived slowly. Then local news stations shared the story. Soon larger media outlets picked it up, and people across the country began donating. Within weeks, more than $113,000 had been raised. Devonte was overwhelmed. The money allowed his family to leave the motel, move into a safe apartment, pay a full year of rent, and purchase a brand-new car. The remaining funds were set aside to help secure a better future for his daughters. Today, the Hunters still visit every weekend. Kayzen still gets his high five. But now Devonte's smile carries something extra — relief, hope, and gratitude. Most people saw a waiter serving breakfast. An eight-year-old boy saw a person in need and decided to help. Sometimes the biggest hearts come in the smallest people.
