@kayabaNerve The good thing is: Soon humans will no longer write the code. They will be swapped for a more powerful AI.

Building infrastructure to halt the network doesn't work when the signing key is recovered due to a bad implementation of the underlying cryptography. It's just one more hacky solution thrown onto to a faulty platform. I am curious if they ask for help recovering the coins...

@Formatoshi Yes, I totally believe that! Even today they are technically not if-then machines. And it can be argued that they are already conscious at a low level.

@Tigerix You mean a sovereign AI with its own consciousness that belongs to no one? Yes, that's an argument if you believe that these "if-then" machines will eventually be capable of that.

Controversial opinion: Bitcoin is the most centralized chain! Why? Because it can only be used via custodian at scale!

@Formatoshi Yes that would be possible. But I believe in AI which is independent of humans. :)

@Tigerix Well, couldn't a user simply grant power of attorney to an AI, allowing it to manage their already verified account as an authorized bot?

@Tigerix Why should it be necessary for AI to be non-custodial?

@Formatoshi About this aspect I agree with you! Although I believe that holding your own money will become very easy with AI and managed by AI instead of a bank, thus more people will do it. So I suspect that a crypto which can handle 8 billion people will win in the end.

So lustig, wie sich die ganzen Etatisten, die sich abhängig vom Staat gemacht haben, über die Abschaffung der Haltefrist aufregen. Wer hätte das nur ahnen können...

@1984_is_today It depends on the protein intake. If a vegan makes protein a priority, he will look totally normal.

@enriquesouza_ What you are saying is true for now, but I expect AI to handle all that by itself in the future. The timeline is arguable, but that it will happen is certain I think.

@Tigerix Nah, there are a lot of hidden concepts you must know to create good, secure, and fast software, and you must know what to ask. It will replace the middle guy who only builds websites and some web APIs with microservices on AWS. Low-level software isn't replaceable.

@enriquesouza_ I guess programmers will become product managers. It's not about complicated code anymore. It's about the product.

@Tigerix Well, it will get better, that is a fact, but it won't replace the good programmer! It will speed up developments only.

@asaio87 That's assuming that AI will never get better. But the opposite is the case: It gets better faster and faster. Soon there will be a new model once a week! We are in the recursive self improvement exponential phase...

Its safe to say software developer jobs are fine despite AI I have 15 years experience in software development, and I know what to prompt, but still it takes hundreds of prompts to create an app with AI If you have 0 experience, you dont even know what to ask it. then what do you do when the app breaks ? non-devs have no chance to vibecode a production app devs on the other hand seem to get superpowers

@tanuki42_ @jpthor So you are suggesting we should stop having permissionless and censorship resistant crypto networks and go back to the traditional Fiat financial system?

@paperX_Art I don't think this realistic on Ethereum itself, neither on Bitcoin. So it's practically censorship resistant while Arbitrum is clearly not. I just know I wouldn't want to hold money there which I am not willing to loose.

@Tigerix This is possible on any chain with enough co-ordination. It’s the precedent that changes expectations and assumptions.
