BREAKING NEWS: The former Military Governor of Bauchi State, Abu Ali, has passed away. He was the father of the brave and celebrated military hero, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali, the fearless officer who led the recapture of many towns from Boko Haram before attaining martyrdom. We pray that Allah forgives them completely and grants them the highest ranks in Jannah.

#NigeriaFarms: Imagine a Government Spending $2 billion to import Rice that @MBuhari Literally stopped and we are celebrating this Madness! $2billion oh and we will turn around and say we are okay. We are not well at all in This Country! Because Nigerians Cried that they are Hungry, you opened the Borders to Rice Importation and Wasting $2billion Importing what Nigeria can Produce? How Dumb? What Happens to Buying the Rice at whatever rates the Locals are Selling and reselling to Nigerians at whatever rates you want to sell? Anyways, Nigeria will only Work, When Nigeria is Ready to Farm!
TheCable@thecableng

Senate moves to cut $2bn rice import bill, establish national rice council The senate has begun moves to cut Nigeria’s $2 billion rice import bill by establishing a national rice council to boost local production and strengthen food self-sufficiency. A bill sponsored by Adamu Aliero, senator representing Kebbi central, aims to establish the Rice Development Council of Nigeria to coordinate research, regulate production standards, support farmers, and promote innovation across the rice value chain. Speaking at a public hearing on the bill alongside the Cassava Inclusion and Flour Production Bill and the National Food Reserve Agency Bill, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, represented by Mohammed Monguno, senate chief whip, said the measures align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for agricultural and economic transformation. “The Rice Development Council of Nigeria Bill represents our economic firepower, poised to create millions of jobs, reduce foreign exchange spending on importation, and make Nigeria Africa’s rice powerhouse,” Akpabio said.

#NigeriaFarmers: WE MUST NOT STOP BLAMING THE NIGERIA FARMERS, But we must also know that every cheap imported food into Nigeria is because the governments of India, Thailand, Vietnam etc have spent Hundreds of billions of Dollars Supporting their farmers over the past 100years. Just like @realDonaldTrump is spending $10billion supporting US Farmers due to Government Tariff Policy. Nigerians are used to blaming the small man who is barely surviving and supporting the killing politicians and demonic elites. Na our way, so I can never be surprised by what is happening, but let me ask the following questions.... 1. who is responsible for the rising cost of fertilizer and farm inputs making it almost impossible to Farm in Nigeria today? The Nigeria Farmers I guess! 2. Who is responsible for the escalating cost of transportation and logistics? I believe it is the Nigeria Farmers too abi? 3. Who is responsible for the high cost of Energy and insane cost of machinery for production, processing and manufacturing? The Nigeria farmers Again Abi? 4. Who is responsible for the high cost and challenging process of borrowing, making it impossible for Nigeria farmers to borrow money for agriculture? I believe it is the Nigeria Farmers too Right? 5. Who is responsible for Government Policies affected all Nigeria Businesses and making it hard to survive as a Nigeria Business person and particularly in Farming? The Nigeria Farmer Again Na! 6. Who is responsible for the Rural Insecurity making it impossible for the Nigerian to farmer Peacefully and Progressively? The Nigeria Farmer Surely! 7. Who is responsible for the lack of Rural infrastructure affecting the Rural Farmer? I am talking about roads and basic farm infrastructure to make it easier to farm? I am certain it is the Nigeria Farmer. Nigeria Farmers are the only Farmers in the world responsible for everything and provided with literally no support but ultimately blamed for high food prices. When Policies are mostly domiciled in Abuja and State capitals without touching the real rural farmers, the Nigeria Farmer is to Blame. The Farmer who is barely surviving is blame for Hoarding, Smuggling, Price hikes and Greed when that farmer most times don't have the capacity to move those goods to the market for sale and has to depend on Middle men to help him or her get goods to the market. The Nigeria farmer is always under prices, under appreciated, under valued and mostly ridiculed by the same people he is feeding cheap and with pains. Ultimately, Nigerians will know that Until Nigeria Farms, Nigeria is not Working! NOTE: No Nigeria Farmer is Hungry and the Images Below are of Habanero Pepper, We are Currently Planting 50,000 including Tomatoes and Bell Pepper. 1,000 Ugwu Plants, 5 Hectares of Soyabeans, 5 Hectares of Cassava and Counting, More than 5 Hectares of Sweet Potatoes. More than 2,500 Producing Palm Trees; 1,000 Mangoes; 2,000 Cashew Trees; 100 Avocadoes; developing 30hectares of Grapevine, More than 100 pawpaw Trees etc.... SORRY, NIGERIA FARMERS ARE NOT HUNGRY!

Taneem. A .Sani@staneem

@akin_smart @RetsonTedheke01 That foreign rice is cheap because the originating country has hugely subsidised the cost of producing that rice so as to provide jobs and Fx to their country through exporting to countries like Nigeria. No country gains food security through IMPORTATION.

Nigeria Farmers are Constantly on the edge because the support system is Zero and You have to be everything to Survive @UgoAgro_! You are God and Government to Your Farming Communities. You Are Also Security and Support for Your Farm and Your Farmers. You are A Doctor, banker, Pastor, Imam, Bandit and Everything you need to Survive as a Farmer. You also have to be A Family Man, Psychologist and A Shoulder to Learn on. You also have to deal with Government Blaming you for Nigeria Food Crisis and Fellow Nigerians that you are Feeding Supporting The Government who is failing but calling you the Problem. You have to deal with Middle Men that will Exploit You and markets that don't care how you survived the Planting season. Make I talk about Nature that can be ruthless sometimes? Bros, Nigeria Farmers No Fit Normal Na!

#NigeriaFarms: When Economic Growth is the Goal, Productivity Subsidies is a Must. These Garri Processing Equipment and Machinery Received by @NFGCSFarmEstate Came From the Federal Government Yesterday and they came at Below N2million. They are Worth About N10million or More in the Open Market. We Paid 100% for These and We Appreciate The Government but they must do More for Value to Be Added to Our Rural Economy and Production. We will Remind our Governments of What Works and direct their Attention to what is important! We will Criticise Our President @officialABAT because Agbado Revolution was Front, Back and Center of His Campaign and we Will help him to deliver on that mandate or Nigeria Suffers. There is No Crime in Criticising what is not working and The Jagaban Borgu is the Politician Who Criticised All. Ultimately, Nigeria Must Farm or Nigeria Will Not Work!

#NigeriaFarms: The Price of Paddy Rice has dropped significantly Selling for Between N400k per ton to N500k per ton including Transportation to most of Nigeria. This is also the beginning of the harvest season in Nigeria. Unfortunately, the Price of Processing has gone up insanely and the prices of finished goods plummeting, putting two key players at the risk of continuing or stopping. The Nigeria Farmers are battling to Farm Rice because of the Cost of Inputs and the Cost of Money. It is almost impossible to farm Rice in Nigeria today and make Money. The Processors and Manufacturers are also battling to stay alive due to high cost of Processing and Logistics of Moving goods due primarily to Government Policies. While you Blame the Nigeria farmers and processors please ask yourself. What is the Gain worth when you decide to import what you can confidently Produce? Every Nation Nigeria is importing Rice from is massively subsidizes their Farmers. Thailand has spent over $10billion between 2020 and 2025 Subsidizing rice production for Nigeria to import their rice, support Their Farmers, Grow their Economy and Kill Nigeria Farmers and our rural economy. In the Union Budget 2025-26, India allocated approximately USD 44.5 billion) for combined food and fertilizer subsidies, with rice and wheat being major beneficiaries of the food subsidy portion of this budget. @MBuhari spent N2.1trillion in 8 years, that is N260billion annually and $165million yearly to support farmers. Thailand has a Population of 70million people and India a population of 1.45billion people. Nigeria with 250million people is spending $165million and we say we are serious about Food Security? While Nigeria farmers are demonized for not Bringing down food prices, Serious Governments with intentional localization policies are ensuring that their local farmers are sustained for their Rural Communities to be Secured because ultimately Local driven Food Security is the Best way to ensure National Security. Nigeria Must Farm for Nigeria to Work!

The last manager that actually added new faces to the squad was Gernet Rohr. With our population and pool of talents we deserve better. You can easily predict the super eagles selection every time, form doesn’t matter. Most of these players live on past glory days.

I have seen various comments on the quality the super eagles have and rightfully so we should easily qualify from that group but our biggest problem is we don’t have good midfielders, non of our current options can control a game of football. We haven’t had that since Mikel.
