Don’t tell me I didn’t tell you CLEARLY last week. 30% jet fuel curtailments is my base case across Europe, ceteris paribus. In pockets it will be worse as curtailments won’t be linear. Asia? MUCH worse. Stay safe out there. The crisis will eventually resolve. But not in a straight line.

BP Italia has warned airlines at four Italian airports that it may be forced to ration its jet fuel supply due to shortages caused by the Iran War. Ambulance flights, state flights, and flights lasting more than three hours will be prioritized until at least April 9th.

I am heartbroken and outraged. Today we mourn Abolfazl Dahanavi, a 20-year-old Iranian Red Crescent @Iranian_RCS volunteer killed on 4 April in Isfahan Province while carrying out humanitarian activities. Abolfazl is the fourth Iranian Red Crescent volunteer killed in the line of duty since 28 February. Four lives lost in five weeks, all while trying to help others survive. This is unjustifiable. We have mourned before. We have called for protection before. We are calling again with greater urgency and outrage: the killing of humanitarian personnel must stop. My deepest condolences go to Abolfazl’s family, his loved ones, and his colleagues in the Iranian Red Crescent Society. We stand beside them in grief and in solidarity. 👉bit.ly/4cpU8LR
