@VioletDream48 Small town east of Hamburg, called Geesthacht at the Elbe, a big river in Germany. Ice floes have melted away, it is too warm now …

Another tennis casualty of the Middle East conflict. The world seniors championships (60s, 65s, 70s) due to start Sunday in Antalya, Turkey, were cancelled today.

@jon_wertheim Basically, just under 90 percent of the world's population is right-handed and around ten percent is left-handed. The proportion of people who can use both hands equally well is somewhere between zero and one percent. It's a narrow gap for really good ambidextrous tennisplayers

Yes! When fans wonder where the sport is headed and how we could possibly elevate/innovate beyond sinner/alacaz… here’s a prediction: we willl see more ambidextrous players in 20 years.
SK@Djoko_UTD

Teodor Davidov, another Ambidextrous tennis player who plays without a backhand.. At just 15, he won his first ATP point and will become the first player appear in the world rankings without a backhand.. Is this the future of Tennis ??? 🤯

During this tournament in Rotterdam, all journalist have been told they are only allowed to ask questions about the match. Very unusual - and as a journalist being given limitations is beyond a scandal, especially when none of the players have requested these restrictions. 1/2

17 y/o 🇦🇹 Lilli Tagger wins her biggest title so far by beating Harriet Dart 6-4, 6-2 in the final of the ITF W100k in Fujairah! She's officially the highest ranked u18 player in the world, now ranked at a new career-high of #128. ... Thiem's one-handed 🇦🇹 legacy lives on! 🔥

#AO26
Jeff Sackmann@tennisabstract

Amazing clutch performance from Djokovic. He won just under 48% of total points. He won 27% of return points, compared to Sinner's 35%. Both the TPW and Dominance Ratio are the most extreme of any major semi-final in the ATP stat-keeping era:
