@Rosezilla @HistorianUSA1 You’re not understanding. If more plates equals more dollars they’ll fight over busy shifts. In my example, the server is guaranteed $2 a head on top of their hourly tip wage. 4 tables an hour averaging 3 people is $24+$3.50.

If all things are equal all the time in terms of pay, you better believe people are taking the “easy” shifts and calling out when the job is tough because there’s no $$ incentive to deal with the madness.

The after-church crowd that “loves Jesus but hates everybody else”? The price hikes that are coming anyway? The restaurants that will cut staff on busy nights? She says the quiet part out loud: That money is coming out of your pocket either way. This is one of the most common-sense takes I’ve heard on this in a long time. Even with the blue hair and piercings… she’s 100% right. Tipping isn’t the problem — it’s the incentive system that actually gets people to show up and hustle. What do you think? End tipping?

@Rosezilla @HistorianUSA1 The effort of service isn’t dependent on the cost of the meal. It’s takes the same to bring a $10 kids meal as it does a $60 filet. Increasing each entree only $2 would more than compensate the wait staff and save the consumer money who now isn’t tipping.

@TimBoling @HistorianUSA1 Beg to differ on the *small* increase. To make this work in “tipless” restaurants, prices have gone up an average of 25% across the board. Or they tack on a service charge. When the $12 burger becomes $16, fewer people come,thus compounding the problem.

@Rosezilla @HistorianUSA1 I work in finance and have done payroll for many years. It’s actually not all that hard. When servers put orders in on a good POS system everything is already tied to their employee ID. It would be a small increase in food prices to cover the cost.

I live in Minnesota and the corruption and lack of justice in our state can be traced to our Governor Tim Walz, our AG Keith Ellison and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty. The judges in Minnesota are also activists. I hope that the @DOJCrimDiv steps in otherwise this lawless will continue.

UPDATE: Chris Ostroushko says that the backlash his family has been receiving for their actions last weekend has been “overwhelming” and “nonstop” He’s now “second guessing” living in the United States, because he’s unhappy with how negatively the public has reacted to him assaulting a woman on camera. He is in complete disbelief, stating that, "I've never had anything like this happen in my life". Chris and Deyanna have been going on a press tour continuing to assert that they are the real victims, despite millions watching the footage of them instigating everything. There is also a GoFundMe for them, where they are currently trying to raise $8k, stating that they’ve lost their jobs and, “are facing one of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments they have ever experienced”. The family has still taken zero accountability for any of the violence they committed and are in complete shock that they are facing consequences for their actions. Last week Chris also did an interview where he lied, stating that his family is “absolutely not violent" and that all he did was "stay back and watch" everything, despite being on camera shoving me multiple times.
