Reasons a well-run recruitment process should end in an offer beneath interviewees salary expectations? None. *and definitely not to demonstrate you're a tough negotiator

@TideBusiness No thanks. Have called three times, nobody has answers, they can't transfer calls and people don't call back in the timescales agreed. Really poor.

@TimD001 Hi, Tim. Having limited access to your account can certainly be frustrating. We appreciate you for being with us and would like to look into this for you. Please DM us your company name and we'll make sure this is prioritised internally.

@TideBusiness I have some great advice for UK entrepreneurs. Do not bank with Tide. Used them for 6 years, pay extra for phone support. UK registered company, all accounts up to date on companies house. Tide have 'paused' my account, with no notice and no access to money.

@chilternrailway stuck on one of your standstill trains with no air con behind a train at Wycombe with faulty doors. At what point is a small number of people's inability to get off at their chosen station, more important than a greater number of people unable to travel at all?

What frustrates me about a lot of right wingers is their dishonesty. They have to lie to me because they are also lying to themselves. They will claim that they are always against destruction of property or violent protests, on principle, yet they’ll claim that the January 6 riot is a different, special case. I just want you to be honest with me. You don’t oppose violent protests; you sometimes oppose WHO does them and what causes they stand for. You cannot have a rational discussion with someone who cannot accept the truth. The thing is, leftists are honest about this! They say that violent resistance is okay against things that they deem bad enough, like fascism, but then they are looked down upon by right wingers. These guys genuinely believe that leftists have political opinions on “feelings” rather than fact, and they don’t realize that they are doing the same thing. Your basis on whether or not a violent protest is acceptable is based on whether or not you agree with the ideas, so stop virtue signaling as if you always care about the destruction of property, if you can’t be logically consistent. Just be honest with me! Until you start being serious, I cannot take you seriously. The reality is, that most of us have a threshold in which we think acts of violent resistance against the state are warranted, but we have different beliefs and different thresholds. That subset of MAGA is fine with riots as long as it’s something they believe in, just like leftists. But they want to pretend like it’s their principle to always oppose violence. They want to make it seem like everything they do is governed by logic, so that they can condescendingly look down on leftists, but they are not being honest with us—or with themselves.

UK/ EU: I'm going to have the courage to say this BREXIT upgrade is good for Britain: 👉 A new security deal 👉 Access to EU arms plan 👉 Youth study exchange 👉 UK to access e-gates 👉 Food/agri /fish border delays removed 👉 Utility co's can sell energy to continent Yes - there are details (eg fishing) we can quibble over. But economically & security wise - this is a welcome step forward.

Labour was elected with a majority, to enhance trading links with our closest partners. Baffled that anyone believed one of those, wouldn't be the EU. Idealism holds us back - pragmatism for growth demands a modernisation.
