The Catholic Church condemns antisemitism but has not defined it. The controversy surrounding Carrie began when she simply asked for a definition of antisemitism. Rather than respond rationally to her question, the Jews and the Shabbos goy lashed out at her. I'd say it's shocking but it's not. It's rather typical.
