@rootcausesleuth If I killed you it would be an injustice. If God ceased to sustain your existence or struck you with lightning, there is no injustice. He owns you and can do as He pleases with His own creation. “If its unjust for me to do it, God cant either”, is just anthropomorphizing God

@EllaFlash Context of the verse is that James literally said you're not saved by faith alone. "A person is justified by works" James 2:24. How much more clear does he need to make it for you? This is so abundantly clear that Martin Luther called James an epistle of straw and hated it.

I pointed out that those in the rocky soil began in faith but were offended when persecution came and they left the faith. It says they continued for a while. The implication is clear. The once saved always saved business is doctrine of devils because it says you no longer have to continue believing. But I’ll remind you that all those that came out of Egypt passed through the water and the blood, they ate mana from heaven, they drank from a spiritual rock. They heard the word and the voice of God from Sinai, but they still fell in the wilderness, even though they had enough faith in God to paint their door post with the blood of the lamb. The book of Hebrews tells us that they fell because they refused to believe, even though they experienced fellowship with God. The book of Hebrews was made to believers yet still, it warns believers against an evil heart of unbelief. Believers. God does not require much of us. But he does require an abiding faith. We will not be saved without it, regardless of how we start out.

@rootcausesleuth The perfect, Holy, infinite Creator of all things has the right to determine a creature do something and hold him responsible at the same time. Anyone who cant grasp this concept in my opinion has not deeply enough considered the creator/creature distinction between us and God.

Question for the Calvinist: If you were made aware of who God’s elect were would you hate the non-elect like God or would you still love them and why?

It makes no logical sense that God would love sinners. Sinners image Satan. And sin mars God’s image in sinners. The only good in us came from God, and all the sin came from us in rebellion against Him. God’s grace, His redemption in Christ, by His Holy Spirit, is truly amazing.
