@RevReads289 When I say consequences I mean more in a judicial sense than just experiencing the effects of another’s sin. The child visits his dad in prison. He doesn’t go to prison with him for the crime he committed. That would be more analogous to what you’re advocating for.

A child grows up visiting his dad during prison visitation hours. He experiences the consequences of the sin but not the guilt.
We all endure the consequences of the sins of others.

You are either in Adam or in Christ. In Adam you are nothing but guilty. In Christ you are nothing but innocent. When Adam ate the fruit, you ate the fruit. When Christ lived a perfect life, you lived a perfect life. This isn’t exclusive to Calvinism. This is Christianity 101.

Calvinism posits that: (1) God truly desires all freely repent & believe so as to be saved; (2) God could bring about free R&B for all; (3) God chooses not to do so for morally sufficient reasons. Highly implausible as it is. No need to misrepresent.

@VicLombardi I mean I think there are logistical reasons why this makes sense for Pittsburgh. Lots of bridges…not the easiest to navigate…prob safer if buses are not on the roads with that many people in town.

Any Christian who wants to legislate theology is not Reformed. A large facet of the Reformation was rejecting government-enforced theology. Some Reformers were imprisoned or executed for their “crimes.” You can’t promote the criminalization of theology and call yourself Reformed.

@TrevorSAndersen @kingagrifta @CherylSchatz The reason it’s a lack of discernment is because if you didn’t ask good questions, hire a guys, and then 3 years down the line be like “I think this dude is trying to turn me into a Calvinist” that’s a significant lack of discernment.
