@Ajarncom What? How dare you blaspheme 7-11! Every time I need to break ฿1000 bill I run into 7-11 and buy a ฿17 drink. I’m out in 30 seconds. It’s the only place in Thailand that doesn’t ever refuse service for ฿1000. 7-11 is fast, convenient, and excellent for changing big bills!

That unfathomable kerfuffle in 7-11 when you pay for 150 baht's worth of goods with a thousand baht note. The note itself is scrutinized and tested. Managers standing nearby may be consulted. Change draws are unlocked. Ledgers are updated.

I can speak basic conversation in Thai because I went to school for 2 months before. But I’m afraid to start learning characters from next week. By just looking at the textbook, it looks very difficult😱
