Periodically I get people of both sexes having conniptions about my long hair, piercings, tattoos and weight lifting ‘at my age’ (born 1955, 71 this month). Men like to tell me ‘no man would want to rape me’ as if it’s ok to say that. Comrade Crones! Rejoice!

@AldiUK not what I expected when I went to put @AldiUK marmalade on my @AldiUK brown toast this morning. I buy “fine cut” cos I love the taste of orange marmalade, but not the peel. What are these beasts ? Did someone mess with the orange peel settings ??!!

@strathisla_sosa beer can be cool whilst not in one of those glasses, that’s like putting ice in a lager, beer is good when it’s cool not freezing

Couldn't decide what to do about my 5 year-old low mileage car, with which I'm very happy. Nobody makes anything I want and prices are ridiculous. Decision: get it serviced (everything) MoT'd and keep it another year. By then we might all be incinerated in a nuclear war 🤷‍♂️

So apparently I’m supposed to just accept this. A lady hit my parked truck and told the cop it “barely touched” and “the damage was already there.” ALREADY THERE?? Look at this. My rear end is literally pushed in like a soda can. She then had the audacity to say trucks are “built for this kind of thing.” BUILT FOR THIS?? Built to get crumpled in the parking lot by someone who can’t turn a steering wheel?? Now her insurance is offering me $900 and a free rental for 3 days. 3 DAYS?? It’s going to take 3 months just to find a body shop. What do I even do in this situation??

Wife hassled me into speeding to get to Tesco on time due to stupid English Sunday trading laws. I got a £100 speeding fine as a result. Is it Tesco's fault no. Am I shoplifting petty items and keeping a running tally to £100. Yes. Am I a common thief now, yes. Do I care - no.

I once booked an aisle seat on a flight because I like being able to get up without climbing over people. Simple. Intentional. Paid for. I get there and someone’s already in my seat, sitting all comfortable next to their friend like they planned it that way. I pause, double-check my ticket, then politely tell them that’s my seat. They hit me with, “oh… would you mind switching so we can sit together?” Now mind you… this wasn’t confusion. This was a fully formed plan that just didn’t include me until I showed up. I just looked at them for a second and said, “I booked this seat on purpose.” Because let’s be real… that’s not my problem. That’s a problem that should’ve been solved during booking. Respectfully.

My boyfriend (27M) and I (23F) have been together for three years. I thought everything was fine, but about a month ago, he said he was a little bored and that we needed new stimulation. He said we should both think about this. I thought he meant, like, "let's go camping" and started making plans for something fun to do. But a week ago we talk again, and he says that he's found this girl (19?F) and she's perfect for us. That being with this girl will help him see how much he really loves me, and may even convince him to marry me (I was married for 18 months before and I'm embarrassed about being an ex-wife already). I really didn't want to do it, but he said, "Oh that figures. It's kind of disturbing how you reject anything new." And that kind of made me feel bad? Anyway, we finally tried to see the girl on Wednesday. She was okay, but the whole thing was too weird for me. We were sitting there awkwardly, and then out of the blue, he turns to me and commands "take your top off." I couldn't do it. I was way too nervous and everything spiralled from there. The girl left maybe 20 mins later. Now, it's been a few days, and he won't talk to me. I'm not sure how to make him see I'm sorry.
