My heart melted reading this! Thank you @KwikirizaNova for following up, The young girl will get all the education support she needs. Im willing and ready to pay for school fees and boarding fees for the young girl plus anything she needs for school until she finishes University! When God blesses you, u bless others 💕 I know with the little help rendered to her, she will become a better child for her family and her community.
Gideon Nova Kwikiriza@KwikirizaNova

This brave, resilient, and intelligent young girl is called Angel Blessings Atuhaire. She is 14 years old and currently a Primary Seven pupil at Kengoma Day Primary School in Kabale District. I have just spoken to her and her father, Mr. Nfitumukiza Moses, a boda boda rider in Kabale. Blessings has consistently excelled in her academics and has never performed below the third position in her class. Her father shared that he is not comfortable with her riding herself to school, but the circumstances have left him with no alternative as he leaves home too early to drop the girl at school . He was all emotional on the phone in disbelief if this was true or a dream. I discussed with both of them the possibility of moving her to a boarding school next term or waiting until she joins secondary school. They both agreed that transitioning next term would be the best option, especially since she has not yet registered for PLE at her current school. I advised the father to identify a good boarding primary school within their locality and connect me to the school administration so that the sponsor, @SheilahGashumba, can take it up from there. I have shared all the details with Sheilah. 🙏

Today, we had the honour of hosting a high-level government delegation at Spiro Uganda production facility for an official inspection visit; the Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, and the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Monica Musenero. The Prime Minister noted that Spiro has set a call and positioned Uganda as a net source of e-mobility in Africa, by championing the national e- mobility strategy of transitioning public transport to fully electric by 2030. She commended Spiro for aligning with its commitment to government, to lead in e-mobility and setting up a robust e-mobility plant, charging network and e- mobility human development network of over 4000 young Ugandans. Impressed by the massive investment by Spiro in Uganda, she announced that the president has encouraged government to explore the adoption of electric mobility solutions in government operations, to support the transition to a cleaner transport. #SpiroUgamda #EnergyOnTheMove

We have unveiled the “Kola Bata ne Spiro” ICE Bike Exchange Program, an initiative aimed at accelerating the shift from petrol-powered boda bodas to clean electric motorcycles in Kampala. Through the Kola Bata ne Spiro program, boda boda riders can trade in their existing petrol motorcycles and apply their value as a down payment toward a brand-new Spiro electric bike. By converting the value of their current bike into equity, the program significantly lowers the financial barrier to entry, enabling riders to transition to electric mobility without the need for upfront cash. With a plan to deploy 50,000 Spiro electric motorcycles in Kampala by June this year, carbon emissions are projected to reduce by approximately 175,000 tons annually. Kampala is estimated to have more than 200,000 petrol-powered boda bodas, which form the backbone of the city’s transport system but also contribute significantly to urban emissions. A typical petrol bike emits about 3.5 tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) annually, meaning the sector collectively generates approximately 700,000 tons of CO₂ each year.   📸: @Atulinda_Allan #SpiroUganda #EnergyOnTheMove

Intelligent Transport Monitoring System Ug.
A major milestone for Uganda’s transport system Today with our partner @SpiroUganda, we recognized the boda rider whose motorcycle received the 200,026th number plate under first registration. @cunguzi and @RapaRicky praised the lucky Kwizera Amura with a small ceremony and branded helmet with ITMS giftbox. ITMS is close to reach 300,000 new number plates in 2025 and is targeting 1 million in 2026. In coordination with @MoWT_Uganda and @MVR_Uganda, @SpiroUganda registration queries are resolved in under 24 hours, with 83% of installations completed on the planned day. The owner of a new number plate Mr. Kwizera Amura praised the improved turnaround time and quality of service at installation points and noted he feels protected with the new number plate. #ITMS priority is to deliver a transparent implementation that supports both regulatory requirements and the needs of our customers. #itmsug #SpiroUganda #EnergyOnTheMove
