@compliantvc @vakgadde This is why Europe is stagnant with zero innovation.
English

@vakgadde You wouldn't last a day in the European Union with that attitude
English

Laying off people without their consent is a major labour law violation
Expect another $1.2 billion fine from the EU, Mr. Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta kicks off major bloodbath with 8,000 layoffs as AI roils tech giant trib.al/qGaO0pq
English

@RobCarpenter Need more than one cone and space them back far enough for drivers to react. This is just poor prep on tow drivers part.
English

Yesterday a tractor trailer in Ohio hit and Allen Myers truck in a construction zone. Here a Tow operator even has a cone out... drivers are still weaving in and out.
Move over if you can. Slow down if you cannot used to just be a common sense courtesy thing. 71% of Americans were unaware of Move Over laws. AAA Foundation identified 123 roadside assistance providers struck and killed from 2015-2021. A tow operator is killed about every 6 days. This is not just about cops.
English

@Serenity3000 @Erdayastronaut No ma’am, only anecdotal and observational. I also don’t appreciate the condescending tone, all workers are necessary for a functioning society.
English

As a former gas station worker, I’ve seen these movements before: that’s meth.
Elizabeth@alluringmedia
Take it from me, as someone who did COPIOUS amounts of Ketamine in my 20s, that is not all he is on.
English

@TonyTaylor_87 @Erdayastronaut Have you ever seen people on meth? You look more like a methhead than Elon does lmao.
English

@Erdayastronaut Thank you very much for your comment! This very well might be the case, but the movements still look unnatural to me and remind me of the effects of meth. As others pointed out, the ketamine that he is most definitely on also may be the contributing factor.
English

@jzetterman @Rec1pr0city @SawyerMerritt @Deandawiz If it’s unsupervised that means Tesla takes liability so your insurance should drop substantially which will offset most/all of the increased price.
English

@SawyerMerritt @Deandawiz It won't be long until it's 1.3M subscribers. I Also believe the price will go up to $199/mo. Once unsupervised is approved. I think 2 tiers will only last until unsupervised is ubiquitous throughout a region.
English

@KristanHawkins From personal experience the pressure from doctors and other medical staff to abort in such a situation is crazy. It’s almost like they get kickbacks or something.
English

@BestTrader01 I invested right after Elon earned a big payday and the stock has been flat since so I’m big mad.
English

@realstalin @ywomendeservles They were not in a relationship
English

@ProudSocialist @CardDead1 Then go live with other socialists in your dream community you’re free to do so. Oh that’s right you can’t unless you steal from others to fund it.
English

@CardDead1 No, workers build skyscrapers and create wealth and capitalists are the parasites who profit off the mass exploitation of other people’s labor and mass extraction of resources that belong to the community.
English

BREAKING: In a win for Luigi Mangione the judge rules the cops conducted an illegal search and seizure violating Luigi’s 4th amendment rights since they didn’t have a search warrant.
All items found in Luigi’s backpack at the Pennsylvania McDonald’s will not be allowed at trial.
The judge is allowing the gun to be used at trial since cops claim they didn’t find the gun until they got back to the police station.
This has always been the most suspicious part of the case because how did the cops miss the gun at McDonalds?
The cops could have easily planted the gun in Luigi’s backpack on their way to the station, which is what Luigi’s lawyers should argue.
English

@mrfundman @McJohnnymac Pretty sure it’s an attempt to drive down unnecessary preference disengagements.
English

@McJohnnymac Shouldn’t be incentivized and gamified imo, more disengagements more data for training
English

Unnecessary in my opinion .. this will make people not want to disengage in some situations.. for example if FSD attempts to cross double white line and someone on a long streak he might not want to disengage..
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt
Well this is new. FSD V14.3.3 has a live counter right on the main screen that shows how many miles you’ve driven on FSD since your last intervention. It resets back to zero when you disengage (shown below):
English

@kneubuehl @kandkbryce You just allocate it to some brokerages, who then offer it to select TSLA shareholders. Just like how it’s done with other IPOs.
English

@JeebsTX I’m all for it. Currently setting up my home for full surveillance powered by ai. Any loss in privacy is more than made up for in convenience.
English

Tech companies are really trying to sell us on the "Home Robot" era, but I am respectfully opting out.
Call me paranoid, but paying top dollar for a 24/7 mobile surveillance unit to wander around my house feels way less like *The Jetsons* and a lot more like *The Hunger Games*. lol
I’m all for pushing the limits of AI and automation, but I draw the line at a Capitol-style Peacekeeper watching my every move in my own living room.
I am not volunteering as tribute just so a machine can fold my laundry. I'll sweep my own floors, thanks. lol
Don't get me wrong: I am 100% pro-robot. Put them in factories, let them run warehouses, and automate business services all day long. Let the robots optimize the supply chain, but my home is off-limits. lol
Your thoughts!

English

@bobntrain @JeebsTX Fail basic biology? These are machines not people 🤣
English

@JeebsTX What about to fix your leaky sink, mow your lawn, clean your gutters, wash dishes, surveillance when you sleep or are away, take the dogs out when you can’t, etc etc.
English

@WallStreetApes I don’t want massive investment, job growth, and cheaper electricity in my city. 🤡
English

This is what Americans can accomplish if they come together
Residents packed the Cave City City Council meeting to oppose a new Data Center
Their city leaders were going to pass a zoning ordinance change that would have made data centers a “permitted use”
Because of the resident pushback, the council rejected that zoning amendment
This is great, but you have to keep an eye on what they actually did
They then approved a one year moratorium on accepting, processing, or approving any data center applications or permits. This paused new projects while the city reviews zoning language
This is why you need to read the details, it’s only a 1 year moratorium
Keep pushing back. The fight resumes in 1 year in Kentucky
English

@JeebsTX Grok says oil and gas subsidies come to 19-20k per car. Would hardly call this the greatest of our generation.
English

@mathughson @WhiteySwolz @MurrayHillGuy1 35$ per month with free equipment and the installed it for free when I couldn’t find a good signal due to all my trees.
English

@WhiteySwolz @MurrayHillGuy1 Because Starlink is ~$40/ mo more plus you have to buy the equipment.
English

Kinda respect what just happened
My internet bill tripled this month because some 5 year promo ended
I called asking if they could bring it back, they said no
So I hit them with the “alright then I’ll just cancel”
Lady immediately goes “sounds good, let’s get that cancelled for you right now”
Completely called my bluff, and I went into pussy mode.
folded instantly and will now be staying a Spectrum customer
English

@JarettGross @mikebolen If bars were half the cost I might actually go to some.
English

People voting don’t understand nightlife. I’ve been to 1000+ bars. Bikini bartenders don’t have huge lines unless the environment is top tier. Men don’t decide which bars are popular woman do. Men go to the bars filled with women (there for fun, not bartenders just there for work) and bikini bartenders aren’t a big driver of feminine traffic.
But the cheapest watering hole in town? Always packed. If you want a drink you better use your elbows.
English

@TW0HEADEDBEAST Merging early is more dangerous and causes more traffic
English

or you could just start to merge 2 miles back when the signs start showing up like a goddamn normal person
meowtown@hieywieyneue
i wish american drivers understood the zipper merge and didn’t have this whole thing of getting your ego hurt because someone tries to merge late (aka the actually correct thing to do)
