@TimothyBuffett @JaySkyway They are a corporate enrichment scam. I see their employees everyday. Super entitled libtards. They care more about what’s for lunch than than making money for shareholders.

Over the next few years you are going to have to fight with everything you’ve got to retain your humanity. They will try to convince you to give up connecting with each other, to give up truly being alive. It will be the most important fight of your whole life

cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night: connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests. every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc.

Posting is the end state, it's the treasure that awaited Alexander at the end of his conquest. It's all that's left for man after gaining the world. It's all there is at the very end of it all. Celebrities, billionaires, industrialists, scholars, all wind up as the humble poster

I was naive. I thought the people who publicly demanded lockdowns and masks and school closures and test n' trace, each more useless and dangerous to society than the next - would one day admit their mistakes. I was right about almost all of it. But I was wrong about that.

Getting more and more notes like this. Too weird that this feed has become a public samizdat, a secret handshake for Team Reality. Oh, you follow Berenson? Then you know the truth...

Since the @elonmusk/@zannymb Economist interview 8 days ago: • 7/25 Berlin Pride: van ramming + stabbing
• 7/27 Paris: 3 women stabbed. Perpetrator released(!!)
• 7/30 Spain: 1000s migrants storm border from Morocco. Many dead. But let’s pretend all is fine in Europe.

@aaronvalue Some interesting context (and why it has taken so long for them to join the party) is because seniors only start talking in person. So as one starts using and trying, it takes a long time for him/her to open up to friends because of stigmas. But the web is starting to accelerate

Leo sent a letter to the LPs last night, per the FT “These were very expensive scars, but I am dedicated to ensuring they will be invaluable lessons for our organisation and for myself as we move forward,” Aschenbrenner wrote. “My core promise to you is that we will not waste the opportunity to learn from these events.” He added: “Over the past two years, we have delivered outstanding results, despite occasional sharp pullbacks. But our fund must always be structured such that we can take a loss and fight another day.” There are few better learning experiences that a 25 year old investor could ask for. Excited to see what Leo does next.

in 2029 everyone will be asking why the hyperscalers didn't build more. it was so obvious. 3 year break evens on 5 year contracts with 6 years of useful life. inference will eat the world and we have barely begun. demand will more than 80x in less than 5 years
Paradis Labs@ParadisLabs

Key points from $AMZN earnings call: CEO Andy Jassy: "I think we're still in the relatively early stages of how much demand there's going to be for AI." AWS: - Fifth straight quarter of AWS acceleration and fastest growth in 18 quarters. - AWS revenue was $42.2B (+37% YoY), and growth was about 80% more than Amazon's largest increase ever. - Accelerating off a 2x larger base means the absolute dollar adds are unprecedented. - Backlog is $496B which is ~2.5x Q3'25 level which derisks the capex fairly significantly. - "The lion's share of capacity in 2027...is largely reserved. And we have quite a bit of capacity that's already been reserved for 2028" - Trainium: "the two leading AI labs in the world, Anthropic and OpenAI, making multi-year, multi-gigawatt commitments" - Amazon also predict that AWS could be a $1T annual revenue business. At current growth rates, it looks like that could actually happen by 2030. Capex / FCF: - Raised 2026 capex by $20B to ~$220B. Surging memory costs are the key driver. $AAPL also confirming on their earnings e.g. "For September, we expect to pay even higher memory costs." - TTM FCF now -$7.6B because of ~67B long-term issuance in H1. "You've seen us issue debt this year... we have a lot of options available to us". - "If the demand isn't there, we won't spend the capital for servers and networking equipment" - positive signals on surging demand. - "We will still not have enough capacity to meet all the demand we have in 2026. And I believe this dynamic will also be true in 2027 too." Demand shape: - AI labs "consuming gobs and gobs of compute" like Anthropic and OpenAI. - Current enterprise production workloads "will be the largest absolute segment" - "Enterprises are still very early in using inference at scale in their current production applications" Summary: - Same message as $GOOGL, $MSFT and $META where demand exceeds supply through 2027 at least. - Binding constraint is capacity. - $496B of contracted backlog against capacity sold out two years forward just confirms demand > supply. Very good earnings overall in my opinion. Glad that the markets didn't look at the negative FCF in a bad way when you consider a contracted backlog of $496B is being built/supplied against it. Maybe the best hyperscaler earnings this quarter?

LOL! What empathy!? And who is this nebulous "tHeY?" Another big bad boogeyman threatening western civilization? You know outside of this hatechamber you've created, reality is not only completely different, but unkind to you. Your fearmongering propaganda only works on the mindless MAGA drones you've managed to herd onto this platform.
