@mikekarnat @tparsi Can you tell me by what objective measure Iran is the leading sponsor of terrorism?

The world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism since the State Department designation in 1984 is not a victim. The tyrannical theocratic regime murdered tens of thousands of its own citizens in just two days in January. They continue to hang publicly from construction cranes any opponents of the regime. Closing the strait is just another act of terrorism.

Iran’s latest AI Lego video marks a significant pivot. Instead of taunting the US military, it reflects a new chapter in which Tehran will seek peace by reaching out directly to the American people, bypassing the US government. It's a mirror image of the US strategy of the past decades. Some of the lines are quite noteworthy and will likely resonate with the anti-establishment sentiments prevailing among American youth in particular: "I love the constitution, the way it was meant. But not the way your leaders bypass consent..."

@CurtMills Whats the argument that Biden's policy (which I also massively opposed) is dumber than Trump's?

Great, Biden did the dumbest thing: leaning into a massive war of choice with Russia. Cold comfort, and not much of an argument despite the Admin's best efforts, that Trump only did the second-dumbest thing: a war of choice with Iran x.com/KobeissiLetter…

BREAKING: Brent crude oil prices officially surge to their highest level of the Iran War, at $119.50/barrel. This puts Brent crude oil prices at their highest level since 2022. The IEA has called this the “biggest energy security threat in history.“

Trump was literally asked at the White House ON CAMERA if he was concerned about allegations that he was using the war to manipulate the stock market for personal gain. He didn't react with shock. Or anger. He didn't respond by saying he would never do such a horrible thing. He laughed, looked directly into the camera and said, "the whole world is a casino." People are dying and he simply doesn't care as long as it lines his pockets.

@beema68 @vertexpd @ryangrim As expected, if you dont like the reported new you just say its a biased news source. Did you know that UK residents can get arrested for saying certain pro-palestinian things? Yeah, sure is just a place full of Jew-haters! Have something of substance to say. Or shut up.

@TimothyCIppel @vertexpd @ryangrim Al Jazeera is a notorious Qatar news Chanel for biased reporting especially when it comes to Israel. As for the BBC also known as the Biased Broadcasting Corporation, and has been exposed many, many times for avoiding the truth. Beginning to think you are just a troll.

@beema68 @vertexpd @ryangrim You very obviously have only looked at sources highly biased towards the Israeli gov. There is an *enormous* amount of evidence that Palestinian prisoners face sexual abuse and torture. 1000 of the prisoners havent even been tried. Why support a system without due process?

@beema68 @vertexpd @ryangrim Al Jazeera reported much more blatantly about what the protests were, but i know your response would just be to say the outlet is fake news. What is *undeniable* is that the protests were against even an investigation into the incident. Now your sources. bbc.com/news/articles/…

@beema68 @vertexpd @ryangrim Dude we all saw it, and there were large protests afterwards because they want the right to rape Palestinian prisoners. Why protest for the right to rape if no rape happened? You have a cross in your bio and are defending rapists because you align with an ethnicity. Shame on you

@TimothyCIppel @vertexpd @ryangrim FACTS. There is one prominent, heavily investigated case involving video evidence and serious rape allegations. It did not result in conviction, and key details remain disputed. Broader claims of systemic behaviour rely on testimony and reports, not multiple confirmed videos.

@songsofyoni Lets say what you present is totally true and not a re-writing of history (leaving out poison pills, etc). So what? If you offered a slave their freedom and they said "no", does that then give you the right to keep enslaving them *and* their offspring for eternity?? 🤦‍♂️

Palestinians have agency. They were offered exactly what you’re proposing numerous times and rejected it. At some point you need to articulate an endgame that doesn’t ignore this.

BREAKING: Trump just posted a statement claiming the Iran deal will be "FAR BETTER than the JCPOA." This morning: Iran rejected the talks. This afternoon: Iran launched drones at U.S. vessels. 1:35 PM: Trump declares a historic deal is being made. He spent half the statement attacking Obama, Biden, and a Washington Post columnist. He spent zero words naming a single Iranian official who has agreed to anything. Either Iran is simultaneously rejecting talks, attacking U.S. ships, and signing the best deal in American history. Or the President of the United States is posting market-moving statements about a deal that does not exist. BBC published evidence this morning of trades timed to the minute before Trump's Iran announcements. Never stop connecting the dots.

The most impenetrably moronic people on Twitter right now can be easily identified. They're the ones repeating the imbecilic line, "The Strait was open before Trump started [sic] this stupid war, and it's open now, so what exactly did he accomplish?" There is zero point in engaging with them. They are fully committed to the bit. Defiantly stubborn ignorance is an insurmountable barrier. Against such stupidity the gods themselves contend in vain.

We're getting the enriched uranium. We're getting a stop to enrichment. We're getting an end to the funding of proxies. We destroyed their Air Force, navy, air defenses, defense industrial base, and senior leadership. All done in 6 weeks. Geopolitical masterstroke
Weijia Jiang@weijia

NEWS President Trump tells me: -No ground troops will be required to remove enriched uranium from Iran -Iran has agreed to stop backing all proxy groups like Hezbollah and Hamas -I asked if Iran has agreed to stop enriching uranium *forever.” He said, “They’ve agreed to everything.” cbsnews.com/news/trump-say…

(Reuters) - Significant differences between Iran and the United States remain to reach a deal aimed at ending the war, a senior Iranian official told Reuters on Friday, adding that keeping the Strait of Hormuz open is "conditional on U.S. adherence to the terms of ceasefire". The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said "no agreement has been reached on the details of the nuclear issues," and serious negotiations are required to overcome differences. He said Tehran hoped that a preliminary agreement could be reached in the coming days with mediator Pakistan’s efforts, with the possibility of extending the ceasefire to "create space for more talks on lifting sanctions on Iran and securing compensation for war damages". "In exchange, Iran will provide assurances to the international community about the peaceful nature of its nuclear programme," he said, adding that any other "narrative about the ongoing talks is a misrepresentation of the situation".
